I was peacefully Living in my starter base on the island. It was in jungle. I went to beach to tame a ptera and saw a player raiding bobs bases with his mana. I was so scared but I thought he didnt see me. Well later I was killing dinos for Meat and saa his shadowmane Come out on nowhere and he was flying with his mana over me. You know how it ended.

These arent easy to tame, they're anywhere and everywhere at once, best way imo is to lure them to a hill and then just start unloading on them, snow owl is good for holding them in place and if you have another person, then building a trap while its stuck from snow owl is good.

Use it to keep ruining pvp and killing the game

Before taming the mana punch it and let it jump in the trap a bit that makes its stamina run out and also makes it hungry so h DONT have to wait for it to get hungry you can get the mama in like 10 min, when it’s in the trap punch it or take just a bit of its health u can punch it and yah that basically it

Despite looking scary they do little damage especially at low levels. The most dangerous part of taming them is the other creatures like wolves and daeodons. Bring some tranq darts and some flak armour and you should be fine.

Lots of people say owls and I have done it with them but the easiest thing I’ve used is plant species Y traps nobody mentions them but the go off themselves and hold the mana for a really long time longer then bear traps for easy time of setting Dino gates over top helped me immensely wanted to share forward to help some one else.

You can hit headshots on a mana for 2.5x damage. They’ll mostly face you when trapped and will also jump a lot if they can’t melee you so you can have one tamed in a couple minutes total.

When you have it trapped, Allow it to jump continuously before you knock it out. This will cause it's food to drain significantly faster and thus making it a much faster tame!

I tamed one with a 300% crossbow

You will find it in the snow dome, watch for its ice breath, it will freeze you.

Rex kibble works just like extraordinary or exceptional with these guys. No prime fish meat involved. Gets max effectiveness as well.

Their stamina recovery is horrible its so slow. But by dismounting it it recovers 2 times faster.

use a snowy owl to trap it and rare flowers to aggravate it to the trap

Breeding these highly fast jumpers can be a challenge! When the female gives birth baby quickly jumps into the air and back to the ground where you must claim it as fast as you can. You will not be able to take these little guys of of wander unless you whilstle unfollow after claiming because they're literally bouncing all over the place! I built a full breeding pin just for them. Once you have them unfollow they will land on the ground where you will then be able to disable wandering.

Very hard to knock it down since this thing is very mobile. It jump extremely high, can do a dash in the air, and fire a frost beam that freeze targets. They can be breed and they need a saddle so you can ride it.

I saw a tip saying snow owl is the easiest way to tame, allow me to one up you... net gun... walk up to a mana that is attacking something, wait for it to almost comepletely kill the thing, hit it with a net. Place 2 stone dinosaur gateways, One below the shoulders and One above, tranq quickly till knocked out (cause they can break stone) and feed exceptional kibble. boom. I was taught this trick and it made everything SOOO much easier.
