These beasts can be found in the volcano biome on gen 1 all around most common inside the volcano protecting there eggs taking them on from range is not a good idea as they have a devastating range attack that can destroy even a tek base. Best from of attack would be to whistle a Dino onto the magmasaur as they have 2 AOE attacks that both harm and kill the player

Lunar North on N are where most of the green rocks to feed your baby magmasaur
On the new lost island map they are found in a cave at the top of the map in the volcano, the babies can be fed Sulfur rather than ambergris to stay alive
I wish these guys were in genesis 2
