Pretty easy tame honestly. You can use a trap but you don’t have to. If you don’t use one you just got to keep track of where it flew off to. They calm down quite easily and their torpor is quite low. I usually use Ptera to chase it, some tranq arrows to knock it out, and some prime to tame it. If you’ve tamed a maewing, it’s nearly identical in terms of taming, usefulness, and abilities.

Use a desmodus and shoot it while flying after it. They jump away once and then sit there for a few seconds, long enough to get a few shots in.

Honestly just kill the parent. It wastes less resources

These tame exactly like maewings. They have low torpor and are knock outs with mutton or kibble. On Astraeos they spawn at roughly 28,8; 38,30; 25,50; 66,56. I have found them in those areas. They're very fast in the water and have no speed bar, they DO have a nursing effectiveness bar.

Maegauana babies eat meat and berries, but berries are better to use when raising

My favourite tame for an egg/kibble farm as they all lay random quality eggs. Super easy to trap by spamming billboards or a basic gate trap, you can easily have 20 in no time plopping out eggs for your kibble needs

Very fast and skittish, but with super low torpor. If you have a good enough tranq weapon and good ammo you can sometimes KO them with one shot. However, they're very fast and will run away once hit, so you may want to make a basic taming pen to be safe. They tame up super fast and can eat either berries or meat. You probably won't have to worry about narcotics as long as you tame with meat.

To prevent running away, try and use rare flowers, make sure nothing else is going to attack you, from there lead into trap or just shoot and knock out doesn’t take much for these guys

Ko tames they eat mutton n basic kibble

You can eat a rare flower to aggro the maeguana into a standard Dino-gate tunnel trap! Also, a maeguana can still mate even if it has a mating timer, it just won’t lay an egg, so one maeguana can mate with a whole pack like a stud

They would run once hit so I recommend that you build a trap using either two or three signs.

These have fairly low torpor and tame exactly like a maewing - ko with mutton etc. Found at roughly 28,8; 38,30; 25,50; 66,56. They're smaller than I though but they're cute! They look sort of like giant glowtails.

Make 4 billboards and trap. Easy knock out. Just put the billboards over their body quickly.

Spam billboards around it and across its body to get it knocked out without having to chase it.

In a pinch, you can use just normal raw meat during a event tame out pretty easy just like maewings they eat the meat real quick when taming out.

Just remember when shooting tranq arrows at it to watch exactly which direction it flies in if you didn’t lure it in a trap with rare flowers first.

If render on wild dinos is turned down when it leaves render it loses Agro to you so you could walk up again and shoot it with ease.
