To the new person who encountered this:

Yes, it might be a chance that you had encountered the giant blue whale which is the Leedsitchys and it drops prime meat too, they don't attack you sometimes, but don't be afraid if they attack you, because it is a herbivore and deals no damage to you and your tames. Just not your raft (in PC)...

They look regular sized in the pictur but they are actually huge

I’ve only seen one and it was an alpha.They only spawn in open waters and don’t attack you they only destroy you’re raft/boat.They are passive but not passive.

After killing the alpha we got a crappy pirate hat REALLY!!!

This fish was actually a filter feeder, like the whale shark. Wildcard should make it to where if you CAN tame one, you have to get it moving to ‘eat’ plankton whilst it’s mouth is open.

Tips to avoid the creature

Don't go on a raft

Make sure you stay near shore when on a raft, or these things will absolutely murder it. There is one right by the beach outside of my base, and blocks are water travel.

It’s not able to break motorboats, my friend made a stone fortress on one and he got attacked by an Alpha but it couldnt do Damage to it so he just watched it attack his boat dealing 0 damage.

You can easily outrun it if you have four plant x on your raft. It’s basically the only way to fight them. Also it can’t catch motor boats as they are also faster than it.

If you decide to drive past a spino or over the open sea

Take the spino

Motorboat + Spearbolt Turret is your best bet against them.

Ya har fellow sailers, rumors say there is a white leedsichthys somewhere, of course thoses are rumors but I heard many ships were sunk by this whale , so be carefull while sailing and alway bring weapons with you, this is probably the most dangerous beast of the ocean.

Whatever you do, don't attack these with a water mount... Mfin whale turns into sonic himself when chasing you to kill the mount

When I got attack my tribemate went flying so if you bring animals the might try to kill it/suggested a raft or moaterboat but they don't attack you often

I always get spooked when one of these render in then remember their neutral so they wont attack me.

We’ve actually never encountered one at herbivore island. We thought we were safe on the raft because nothing ever happened, but then we went to get oil in the colder region...we were at the island up to the left when we barely got away from it. Damn thing followed us forever too.

When your on a ichy it won’t do anything so if u get off your ichy and get some meat and get on your ichy you can easily get away from anything btw...
