Why even have boats in the game? This dangthing will murder every boat it sees

Ok so basically. These huge ass fish mainly hang around the herbivore island. Stay out of open water on rafts or you’ll become dinner for one of them. They do have alpha variants but they’re the easiest alpha to kill doing barely any damage to a saddled mount. I easily killed 6 of them near my base on herbivore island on my sarco.

Anyways that’s all from me on these annoyances.

You can throw honey at it to stop it from chasing your boat

If you play on ark use and you have a trashy enough device like me that you have to set all of your graphics down to the lowest possible setting, then you don't have to worry about these things attacking your raft as they will only render in if you go underwater and deep enough where anglers spawn since they will also spawn at a certain depth.

PLANT SPECIES X!!!! Slows them right down. Put one on the back of your raft and not even the alpha can get you unless it comes from straight under. Add a ballista and a captain hat as well for added effect.

There heads have a damage resistance so aim for the body

These creatures are so annoying. They can one shot your raft if it is an alpha. Lost too many raft bases in PvP due to this guy.

Leed-sich-thys. Largest creature known to man. 3 times the size of a whale shark.. but it's a damn fish.

Encountered an Alpha Leed next to the southern island. Two tapped my raft lol

Warning do NOT ride raft near them

They can spawn at surface areas at the bottom south, even near the shore with all the rocks.

One was unfortunate enough to spawn and get stuck on a rock, so i have a trapped Leed with no effort involved.

You might find one there too, if your lucky.

please don't ever go into a open body of water if you want to preserve your rafts life and work.

"you are not safe on your raft" you have been warned

If you are on a raft sailing the seas and encounter one of these, sail to the closest piece of land as quick as possible, (GG for u if it’s an alpha one). If on a motorboat, do the same thing! You might be able to out run it but if it’s an alpha, it would be better to take a little damage and spare yourself the hard work of making another one.

One day I went on a trip to herbivore island to get some metal I got a few storage boxes full on my raft and some in my invent. I set of home when one of these swallowed my raft, I lost all my metal and was left encumbered in the sea

In real life the leedsichthys was almost 100% a filter feeder. If we get an update saying it’s then tamable, there should me no way to force feed it and it can only eat by swimming with its mouth open.

When you dont have a motorboat dont drive above deep water. When you have a motorboat they mostly wont attack you. I hope that helps you.

They attack rafts in Ark Ultimate Survivor (new ark mobile)

I ran into one of these in Ark Mobile up the very top of the map next to the blue obelisk and I stabbed it with a pike because ehhh ;] and it gave me 40 or something raw prime fish meat??? It didn't attack me either. I didn't see any comments say this so maybe it was a different dinosaur but... I'm pretty sure it was this one (I'm a new player).
