Leeches inhabit swamp waters and can be located by their bubbling sounds, then tamed by capturing them with a Fish Basket. They make unusual aquatic pets, provide blood for fishing bait, and infected variants can spread swamp fever. When harvesting or approaching them, use a large land carnivore to attack from the water and avoid contact, removing any leech that latches onto you or a tame with fire or another supported method.
