Leeches make a very unique sound when swimming.

Once you learn to hear it, you can find leeches by stopping and listening for their approach

To if your having your first leach and playing online or 2player get another player to hit you with a torch , it will remove it

The leech can get on your dino

You can have a very strange pet

To get a leech of you you have to, create a fire than jump on it. It might kill you because if you don’t have a lot of health jumping on fire is not really a good idea because it does damage so does the leach that is literally eating you alive. Hope this tip helps!

These things are the worst. They’ll attack you very sneakily, and I hate having to take time off of my task just to build a campfire to get the stupid thing off. Even though it just takes a little bit of time to get the thing off, it’s still extremely annoying. Luckily I haven’t encountered a diseased leech yet, so there’s that.

Hello gguys if a leech attach to your dinos you can remove it without using fire and if you look to the icon on the top left like the icon hand tap it and the leech is of you dinos mounts or flyer so if u find this a useful tip to take off the leech and is less dangerous

Won’t latch onto karkinos, if you’re on the ps go up to ur other tames go into the menu and the remove leech option will pop up, if you’re alone hop onto a fire a few quick seconds even at low health you’ll survive. If you’re with a mate they can remove them off of you. And you them.

If the leech is not coming off, check for the debuff. There is a visual glitch.

If you have a leech attached to you and you never came in contact with a leech. One of your tamed Dino’s probably has a leech on them.

Enjoy your swamp fever! I’ve been on servers where the entirety of the player base was infected somehow and non of them ever spawn to get leech blood

Some leeches carry swamp illness so don’t want to always have leeches.

Btw : Noobs don’t think the leeches that are literally eating you are pets!

They Can indeed be tamed, however they are awkward pets to keep as they move so slowly in land. If you deploy a fish basket, you can capture them as tames. Perhaps if you caught a diseased one, then you could use it to infect other players, causing endless suffering.
