Can be fought by 3 main options:

Having at least 3 decently strong creatures so while it picks up 2 the third one will fight.

Have a mount that it can't pick up fight against it.

Shoot at it metal arrows to counter it's damage resistance from most projectiles.

DODODEX it drops organic polymer too

Very slow, but can see you from far away and grab u he's hella spoopy

ALERT: Karkino DO NOT spawn on ASE Ragnarok! I found this out the hard way after looking for one for over 5 hours in its supposed spawn nodes, just to find out they dont.

Was on a ravager and then a karkinose took me off my mount

If it's distracted enough with something else you can attack it's rear legs with something smaller and quicker to kill it

If it's distracted enough or you can get to it's rear legs you can basically ankle bite it to death

This game…. My brother joined on split screen with me far away from my base tho and there was two Karkinos in a river HE RAN DOWN THERE.He got grabbed I took his controller and I the attacked it and then the first one died the second be like MY FOOD MY PREY.And got him while a spino was killing it luckily

Wild Karks - Do not dismount within their aggro range, they can usually then target you and pull you off. Rock Drakes protect you from this, but dismounting and remounting nearby the Kark will allow it to target you. Basilos, usually immune to everything, you can be pulled off of as well.

If he grabs u, throw a z semen blend grenade and it will let u fall, only chance to survive, if the crab grabs u. *no pun inteded*

on crystal i found this really good trap that uses three dino gates and some fence and it cant move the krab then i lured it in and had a catapult right in front of it easy rame

Can’t pickup anything bigger than a stego

They have a blind spot where they can’t hit you under there head Really useful when you get jumped

If you shoot the crab off the back of your mount it can take u off ...

Do these things play dead? I can see one directly on the floor in front of me and it's not moving. I have to go past it to get to my base... I moved in to investigate and it was dead but my question is, what killed it? It wasn't low level and they're not weak.. Now I'm scared :S

Am I have encountered this thing yet and I’m not sure how powerful it is I’m level 152 and I have all tek stuff and I have all the tek armoured dinosaurs like it or not

I thought it was the bloodstalker on aberration. I found it in the water and thought it was a blood stalker but it was just a karkino up if this happened to you
