Tranq Arrows/Darts DO NOT WORK!!! To knock this out you need to use a catapult and shoot in only on it's back. If you shoot it on it's legs it will kill it.

Cannon balls discrease taming effeciency significantly! So for high tame level, always use boulders. Please let other people know! :)

Pretty easy to tame. Trap it in a circular form of stone Dino gates, place catapult low if catapult is high the crab will die. Then shoot it with a catapult. Cannons insta kill the crab, do not use cannons

Guide to using Stego(s) as Swords:

1. Put Stego(s) on aggressive.

2. Pick them up using the Crab

3. Walk near target.

4.Enjoy

THEY CANT BREED ON MOBILE!!!!

I spent 4 hours taming a high level pair just for them to NOT BREED. This seriously pisses me off, please let others know about this.

I was floating above water in Crystal isles. I was close enough that if it jumped it could touch me but it didn’t attack me. I think they can only attack in water.

ALPHA Karkinos can GRAB and DISMOUNT you off of a ROCK DRAKE.

So, I don't know how much this will help others, but personally a cart with a cannon on top did wonders for taming this oversized crab. If you line it up right you can do it in one hit. Hope this helps someone!

If you are missing with your catapult and it's dying, drag dino corpses to it and let the karkinos eat the corpses. It will heal him up a lot then try again with the same torpor you left off with.

This tame is like the Rock elemental, but do not shoot it in the head. Shoot it right in the back of it's shell. Anywhere else will kill it fast.

Be careful when carrying a Dino that has a tribe mate mounted on it. I was walking up a hill carrying my anky with a tribe mate on it and they went under the map and died. RIP ANKY AND SHINEHORN. Tribemate was eh anyway.

If you're carrying a tamed Doedicurus in your claw the Doedic will automatically start harvesting any stones you hover him over. Just start pumping points into your Doedic's weight because it will stop at about half of its own carry weight. I've yet to discover another tame it will work with though...

I understand that all the previous tips submitted were useful, but just in case it was not clear, hit the TOP OF THE CRAB, it will have a special animation if you hit it in the correct spot, and will take only a small amount of boulders to tame, even a high level. (Irrelevant with Cannons)

On ragnarok there is a secret under water cave with karkinkos high levels I tamed a level 190

To the guy who said "rare on floaty islands on crystal" that is a load of crap found 20 on 1 ISLAND!!!

Need stone/metal/flint it can carry both anky and doed at the same time while benefiting from their weight reduction

Need wood? Can carry the bevear guys plus it got a huuuuge weight so it can carry anything

Need DMG? It has lots already

Need tanking? LOTS WITH stegso Especially

Need a caring soulmate to help you when your at your deepest? ...... Honestly it don got that but it can jump like three stories high

It's a Giant crab that can throw it's enemies far away

I’d say I’m having pretty bad day. So, I just bought Abberation and I was so excited, so I went over to the water. I don’t know much about Abberation, so I thought the Karkinos was just a kind little crab. Oh boy was I wrong.. I went closer to the water, as I was thirsty. But the Karkinos comes running up to me, picks me up and shreds me to pieces. Let’s just say I took a little break from Abberation 1 minute after I bought it.
