ARK: Survival Evolved & Ascended Companion
Tips & Strategies
Do these things play dead? I can see one directly on the floor in front of me and it's not moving. I have to go past it to get to my base... I moved in to investigate and it was dead but my question is, what killed it? It wasn't low level and they're not weak.. Now I'm scared :S
More Karkinos Encountering Tips
Karkinos can perform a grab attack that will pull you off of almost any creature. However, they can only do this grab if they are standing in water. Even the slightest puddle of water will let them grab. For your own safety, donโt fight them while they are standing in water, unless you would like to be slammed into the floor repeatedly by a giant spider crab.
Iโd say Iโm having pretty bad day. So, I just bought Abberation and I was so excited, so I went over to the water. I donโt know much about Abberation, so I thought the Karkinos was just a kind little crab. Oh boy was I wrong.. I went closer to the water, as I was thirsty. But the Karkinos comes running up to me, picks me up and shreds me to pieces. Letโs just say I took a little break from Abberation 1 minute after I bought it.

I was happily walking along the shoreline, it was a warm and sunny day, and I was feeling good about my new raptor tame. Suddenly, my tribemate comes running out of the blue and then he gets smushed by giant Mr.Crabs. Please be careful, especially when around streams and water. Like mentioned earlier, they will SMUSH YOU WITH ONE SMACK OF THEIR CLAWS.

If you want to kill one use a Dino or a crossbow. Don't use guns because it Tales less damage from them! Thank me later!
