The kaprosuchus is a pretty versatile tame that can be used most effectively as a terrestrial killing machine but also works for fishing (not recommended, mainly because of piranhas and baryonyx) and caving. For the kapro to be a good tame however, you’ll need to tame one that is a relatively high level since kapros at level up to 90 usually only have hp ranging from 200 to 600 in the wild.

But how do you actually use it to fight things effectively?

Well the leap attack and the idle grab can pick up pretty much anything the size of a raptor or smaller but the leap can also be utilized for a combo of sorts or getting out of sticky situations. The combo I’m talking about is really just using the leap on something too big to be picked up, following up with an m1 attack. When fighting something larger than the kapro you need to spam the leap in between regular attacks to do extra damage as much as you possibly can and it’ll make you pretty much impossible to kill for a lot of creatures (I’ve killed therizinos with this method on a lvl 230 kapro)

The leap can also be used for a more cautious approach to combat but leaping towards something, running away and leaping back in, run away, leap attack, run away and I think you get the point now lol. You can also do the opposite and run towards things, do some m1’s, leap away and repeat. Both these methods will slow down the rate that you kill things but it’ll also make you take less damage if you do it right so it’s worth it mainly if there’s a lot of threats in the area.

My favorite use of the leap though is the possibility to just utterly jumpscare small creatures, grabbing them in your mouth in the process and eat them alive with no resistance. Works with players too but be careful because players might be able to defend themselves, so be careful who you pick up.

The kapro is useful for a lot of caves because of the grabbing and leaping letting you escape danger and PICK UP any araneo and a bunch of other cave creatures and kill them pretty easily.

They are by far the most underrated creature they are extremely useful when tamed because they are great for caving and they can drain stamina of any wild creature allowing you to easily kill it.

These things are great tames! They are really fun to ride and when you imprint them 100% they are really fast! Just one more thing though, level up it’s weight allot…

When you see it… RUN. Because they can glitch you out of the game on mobile.

If you are a mobile player, although it might still be good on other devices, start breeding them! On mobile in my experience even a level 20 can do the same damage as a theri! It’s much easier to hatch them then tame them, especially with imprinting. They also have epic colour regions, and I got a cyan colour on its top half while I was playing on a server, this guy gave me a gc for it. (Golden collar) they are much better then raptors, although they are easier to tame in my opinion. If you play pvp, get a pack of 5+ and you could kill a Rex.

Tame one if you play on a PvP server. The fact that they can pick up players (and even some smaller mounts), you can ambush them as they leave their base and bring them to a buddy who is riding a much more dangerous mount. If you are on/near the beach you can pick people up and drown them very easily (because it naturally drains the stam of anything it grabs, plus players will waste stam punching it in a panic).

They can grab raptors and they can leap REALLY far

Great for caving! Small enough to fit in most caves without cryopods, quick enough to run through the caves without much hassle, immune to leeches in the swampy caves, and candles grab and dispose of Arneos easily!

Use one of these bad boys to stack up a lot of chitin and leech blood. Get a high level one and just go to an area where leeches are plentiful and spam that leap attack like crazy.

These things are more dangerous than they look. I once had a dire bear, terror bird, and carno in the redwoods by swamp together in neutral while I was taming stuff further in the redwoods and a bunch of Kapros ganged up and killed all of them except the carno

If u live near a swamp, u could make an army, since they’re pretty easy to tame. They’re also useful for caves your Baryonyx can’t fit into.

I have about 15 of these guys in my OP base and literally every time I come back to base there is a pile of bodies that includes everyone in the entire god damn server I definitely suggest taming these bad boys

These guys are probably my favorite Tame for Scorched Earth because you can jump around the sand dunes like a made man and avoid anything Easily. Just level Stam and Health, and some weight and you can easily travel across the land with fun and ease before you get a flyer
