Be careful if your in the swamp the best way to game it is to find a mountain and look for one, If you see it first then you can try to game it if it were you first your dead.

For lower levels, have a suit of Flak Armor and let them grab you. Once they grab you, just start beating the shit out of them with a club or fists. I'm not sure about higher levels though.

Bola him and nock it with your hands THE BOLA WORKS IN HIM

Just punch it over and over and it will go unconscious.ps a lvl 1 can do this.

It is best to attack their tail so the won’t bite your head off (if it turns around stay with the tail)

The one I’m taming right now eats raw meat just so you know.

FYI for anyone that wants to do mutations, I have had a really hard time getting the mutations. Also I have yet to get a underbelly mutation. Not sure if this is from them just having 4 regions or what.

They can and will still lunge at you while bolo'd! Watch yourself after getting one in a bolo as it will make you into a fine meal.

Be careful. These alligators will latch on to you and won't let go. Stay high, and use tranque arrows or a tranquing rifle

if you don't have something to pick them up with lead them as far onto land as possible and kite them from way up high, they'll agro and try to jump at you but if you break their line of sight they lose interest quickly

All you need is a good pike, get pulled off your mount and poke this little f***er to death. If you are going for taming, bring a Mastercraft or ascendant crossbow, only takes about 5 narc arrows for a level 115.

Careful when in swamps and using smaller mounts it will superman outta nowhere and drag you away into the water.

When you put he in a taming cage you have to make the wall 2 high because he can climb over 1 high wall

If it happens to grab you and you have enough points in health and melee damage then you can knock it out while in its teeth.

If you're in scorched earth and one of those grabs you, keep hitting them with a boomerang and they should either die or faint.

To tame just punch him out when he picks you off of your tame on the swamp

I accidentally knocked mine out with my fists. I am level 65 and have a leveled my melee up a lot. I almost died so this definitely not the best method.

The bola doesn't seem to hold them. I used the bola on one it stopped for a few seconds than lunged while the bola was still on it and proceeded to munch my bones into paste.

These guys are a pain. Flying around on my argy in the swamp and bam out of nowhere one takes me off my mount and kills me.
