How to tame (easy tame and good for low level, taming one as I write this).

Step one: get tranq arrows or even just club (this is quite hard)

Step two: find a kapro and get it out of water. This can be done by walking near it and making it pounce on you.

Step 3: if you have a raptor, ride it and the kapro will pounce the raptor and you can tranq it.

Step 4: feed it meat and protect it.

Step 5: have fun with your jumping croc

Use this dino in caves, their right click ability will hold on to and kill any bat in sight

If you're in the swamp and get blindsided by one just being out your handy dandy bola and throw it at them. It will let you go and it won't be able to chase you.

How to tame in 6 easy steps

Step1 go to the swamp du

Step2 just stand there 4 like 4 seconds

Step3 kill the boa that just almost killed u

Step4 shoot with tranks as fast as possible while running

Step5 when it grabs u start clubbing it

Step6 realize u died at step 1

My tribe lives right outside the swamp biome and these damned things are a Menace. They've killed my members dozens of times and they surrounded our mounts and killed them. Do not take them lightly they are cold blooded killers and are efficient at it.

Always level up weight because their weight capacity sucks

They are some of the best creatures for going into the swamp caves lava cave and others

Don’t go into a swamp if you need a poo.

Because if you do, a Kapro will come and scare you.

It will carry you around

Until you die on the ground

And it won’t let you return to collect your stuff.

Sit rep: I was killed by a Kapro, couldn’t get my stuff and my Pteranodon was killed. That poo came out faster than the speed of sound when that Kapro scared me. Kapros are a bit overpowered.

I was trying to find equus using my sarco as a transport there was swamp… MY SARCO GOT KILLED BY THESE!!!! NEVER GO NEAR SWAMPS!!!!

Really good tame for mobility early on, and can transport a small to medium size creature in its mouth, including players. For PvP, it can be good for dismounting players and capturing enemy players. The only disadvantage is that it has really low hp even at high levels.

Pretty damm annoying on any map with a swamp and very scary but they come in pretty clutch on Scorched Earth as they are easy to tame and can outrun and fight most threats

To tame one of these guys is pretty simple your just gonna need a crossbow, longneck rifle, or a club. I would recommend using a crossbow as you can shoot at a distance and if it catches you in its jaws your can shoot it pretty quickly ALSO IF IT BEGINS TO RUN AWAY WHILE YOU ARE IN ITS JAWS IT WILL NOT ATTACK this makes taming them pretty easy and do not make a trap as it time consuming and far to risky as they can just command grab you

If you don't like dying to attention starved crocs here are a few tips

1. Make sure to have good armor and lots of health in Kapro infested areas as it will alow you to tank damage from there bites

2. If you are experienced unwanted hugs or attention from croc try chopping it's head off with a sword, hatchet, or stone axe and it should be dead pretty quickly

3. Don't bola these guys as they don't work on them regardless of what some people are saying so you'll just agro them and their pals

Be careful when you are venturing through the swamp. These guys can can sneak up on you and snatch you in its mouth.Natures kidnapper. Punch it with all of your power and it will eventually fall asleep.

Dont listen to all that get someone to pick you up

And stand on a tall rock crap just hop into the swamp with a cross bow or a normal bow let it grab you and then just shoot tranqs down its throat and murder any narcos with a trike and you have your self a kapri btw you can usually get away with this strategy with lvl 1 to 80ish but anything higher you may die btw have a decent amount of health so it does not just chomp you in 5 seconds

Why is this things icon purple, I have literalky never seen a purple one, plus dont think these things are easier than sarcos, THEY DEFINETLY ARENT

They patched the Kapro in PVE so that it cant grab wild dinos last patch making it pretty useless on official PVE servers.

Not so much a tip as a warning, bolas DO NOT work on them. It feels like they should but they DO NOT.

They are very powerful and underrated mine 2 SHOT a carno people need to stop saying they are weak

they have leap and a grab.

To do the leap swipe up and it will leap(can also grab Dinos)

to do the grab swipe down and it will grab.

It’s also good at swimming.

And does around 40 damage when tamed.(normal attack)

They are hated for grabbing players but they are amazing tames to have.
