Kaprosuchus and Titanoboas will ruin your experience in the swamps. If you don't want to die, bring a pteranodon or another flying mount.

This has to be the most hated dinosaur in Ark. Let me say why. I’m riding my raptor near a swamp then out of nowhere this thing shows up and takes my raptor and kills it.

They can carry enforcers in their mouth

These guys are ANNOYING as they killed half of my dinos when I had first time in the swamp. Also I tamed one WITHOUT a bola(I set my strong dinos to passive and let it attack my brontos-it does like no damage-and I tranqd it out.)it got killed by a rexy even though I had a SPINOSAURUS and 2 LVL 20 BRONTOS! They can also carry you in their mouths

I got a beautiful pink and green one and named him Watermelon. He’s amazing and one of my favorite tames :D

The dossier says that they bite u in ur vital areas for u to lose stamina

When you think you see one stay back away. Use a spyglass to make sure it isn’t a sarco

How to tame

Step 1 get 2 bear traps

Step 2 lure the Kaprosuchus into the bear trap (you want 2 bear traps just in case the bear trap expires)

Step 3 feed meat

Note: Kaprosuchus is not a very good tame at a low level (I would recommend going for a lvl 50 or higher)

They can jump on really long distances and make a lot of damage and they are pretty easy To tame

A kapro is a class cannon creature fast on land fast in water and very deadly if you upgrade it's stats correctly don't waste your time on building a trap just go with your tranqs and knock em out most of them have low HP most of them in the 200s use a few narcotics to keep it sleeping and tadaaa! You just got yourself a class cannon creature that can be used to clearing caves if you level his stats correctly level his healt and damage if you don't use a saddle on him if you have a saddle on him keep putting stat points in weight until it reaches 250 or something above and after that put a few skill points on stamina to spam his. Lounge ability to travel to islands faster kapro is just a creature that's used when your bored right now I use him to clear the south island cave I hope this helps

I managed to find a kapro it grabbed me and with only three points in to melee damage I nocked it uncontious with my fists and tamed it

Paint it black and name it sarco to trick people

You’ll need a Kaprosuchus on The Island, Valguero, and Fjordur because these maps have swamp caves which the Kaprosuchus is the best mount for those swamp caves but they’re a good tame for every map they spawn on

This thing all tho cute and happy. Don’t use them for getting oil a lvl 420 megalodon will end both your lives!!!!!!

I've seen a purple kapro like the icon before in mobile, though probably won't normally see one like it on pc or other platform.

Watch out tot them, even when you are at endgame: they shred through ascendant TEK armour like it's nothing!

Run just run they will tip you to pieces

If you add literally any to player res, you can tame Swamp Puppies at lvl 1.

Mats: None, but if you are new to this strategy, or you have less than 1 player res, level up health until you are level four. (Also maybe use gear and stuff if you are new to this, like hide/cloth or a club)

1. Locate one (they spawn in swamps, and large lakes)

2. Get close enough to agro it, but stay about three kapros away

3. Spam punch and let it grab you

4. Hit it in the face until it's asleep

5. Depending on the map, (mainly lost island or procedural Arks) look for a sheep to kill and feed the Kapro. If not, just get a basic raw meat or a prime

This is the strategy I used when I got back into Ark, last about 1.5 years ago :3

Step 4:name it

Step 5: Get saddle

Step 6: enjoy your sarco with a megalo’s mouth

If you shoot it through a window it will garb you and pull you through the window.they are pain in the asses
