The wiki says that you cannot tame them unless they are adults. Well I call B.S. because I tamed a baby Kairuku/Penguin by just shooting it with Tranquilizer arrows until it fell asleep and offered it meat. Don’t trust what the people on the wiki say unless it’s from a trusted source.

Tip:if you wanted to get One of these with less killing beaver or any creature that you need to craft fur armour. Just wear full set hide armour,a flyer,longneck,darts and final touch otter around your neck.I used that but didnt use darts I use tranq arrow and a bow.its work for me but watch for their health.

The colder it is the less likely you will kill when knocking them out.

To tame a kairuku(the worst)

you need to find an adult kairuku, it cannot be young

While they come as adults, like most tames, they also come as babies. The babies are tamable but only eat meat. The adults eat meat and berries, which is surprising, since they live in the Arctic. If you kill them, you get Organic Polymer. The babies usually produce more than the adults.

Don’t knock them out with tranqs! I killed three of these already when I try to tranq them.

Put them in a cage so they can't escape or die by something.

Tame an Achatina instead of killing these bois. They act as organic polymer farms as it generates in their inventory.

✨ A guide to Kairuku ✨

Step:1: find it in wild, can be found in icebergs, or forests of the Arctic and pick it up with argy and bring it to a safe location

Step 2: tranq the one you want (should take about 2 tranq darts or 3 tranq arrows)

Step 3: give fish meat (idk how much)

Step 4:if torpor is low feed narcotics or bio toxin (bio toxin is better because you can only feed one to have it’s torpor go to max)

Step 5:repeat process with other gender

Step 6: breed them

Step 7:hatch baby

Step 8: kill+harvest baby

Step 9: you have your own organic poly farm!

Use pelicans to get the organic polymer. Seems like babies give the most.

I spent ages flying around the ice, found a pack by accident.

They are mostly on cliffs, right next to all the mammoth fights. Im surprised they survive it all!

Best way to get them is to kill the parents and adopt the babies - there are always loads of them.

Raw meat works better than raw fish meat but raw prime fish meat works better than raw meat but it’s a penguin and penguins eat fish so raw fish meat should work better than raw meat
