I wish but it’s only force tame

One of the weakest yet most valuable thing you’ll come across whilst exploring Scorched earth. Look for ones with a blue abdomen if in search of water and red ones if advanced and searching for oil. Usually found everywhere except up in the mountains were most of the dangerous carnivores live. Quite common to find throughout Scorched earth but easily startled if accessed.

Jug bugs, like literally all other ark creatures, can be tamed with forcetame. Only way to get one as a pet.

I don’t think you can tame these or what they eat, but you go into creative and forcetame one. It’s funny. Like a flying morrelatops that’s a fly that’s small.

You actually can’t tame it sorry about the note that said to tame it and bam water, 😥😓

If you are thirsty don’t wish for them because they will show up but wish if you don’t want them.

If you do kill these creatures, if they're the oil type, you can go into their inventory to collect 16 oil, then hold a button for more options to collect 16 more oil. Basically just double the oil.

Bola one then build a wood house around it boom now you have infinite water and oil

You should be able to take this, and just have a billion flying water bottles

They are everywhere on scorched earth XD

If you force tame a jug bug make sure to have a trough full of berries near it in a small to medium sized hut with a single door.the berries help keep it alive

If you have a chainsaw and use it on these guys you can get some serious Chitin

So these bugs are smaller then you can fit through a 1 by 1 gap but can't fit through a behemoth gate 😕😕

Useful until you find and make a base by a Water Vein

They spawn almost everywhere on scorched earth. There’s the water jug bug and the oil jug bug. If you want to harvest oil or drink water from these bugs, go up behind them and press triangle (PlayStation). Easy source of chitin too!

We should be able to make a jar or something with its skin and use it to carry water.

Good source of water early game!

While in the wild, go to the desert, find one, after, press Y on it and get close before and drink water or get oil, works while killed

You can trap these for a water source
