These guys are good for defending yourself if you have a saddle for it you can kill other players that way no one will mess with you but if someone has a dino such as a carno you can use this to run if you have a saddle

In abberration, or valguero they can harvest the (any)poisonous mushrooms for bio toxin.

The iguanodon can take no fall damage when you fall down a cliff, making it easier to ensure proper safety. They can collect berries and extract seeds from them for your crop plots. They can also collect a plethora of thatch and a decent number of wood. Really great beginners mount.

An Iguanodon is practically perfect when needing a farm. You can collect Crops and Berries, put them in the Iguanodons inventory, and hit “Tap to seed berries”. Doing so, the Iguanodon will change all of the crops and berries in its inventory into seeds. Perfect for needing lots of seeds but not being able to find any!

I very useful Dino, very fast and very powerful. A must have for all ark gamers. 🙂

Use L2 on controller to change from 2 legs to 4

If you’re new to the game don’t even TRY taming a para, these guys are just as easy to tame as paras and 10x better. They have infinite stamina in galloping mode and harvest plants like a BEAST, they’re decently fast, decently strong, and have very good weight (low level iguanodons have bad stats, but higher level ones have insanely good weight and health) I don’t even use paras anymore, literally the only thing that Para does better than iguanodon is swim

My tip is if your not using this for packing then put 5 points into attack and 5 into health and you have a perfect taming dino for beginners it still has uses once your done riding it, it turns stuff into seeds. It's also really easy to tame. AND IF YOU DARE PUT STAMINA POINTS INTO THIS GUY DONT because he has unlimited stamina while on four legs.

If you want a dino who can can escape almost anything not even raptor can chase you you can just use this bad boi its has 2 ability turn berries to seed and have infinits stamina its activate randomly

I have a BLUE! One named indigo who is my best travel friend. I used her to tame my spino hemlock. I take her every time I go out on a long expedition along with hemlock, delta (my raptor) and firecracker (watch camp Cretaceous or ask Siri to know what that one is ;) ) we are unstoppable. Indigo can outrun almost anyone, delta is fierce and always is ready for offense or defense, Hemlock is the attacker that can take down TWO high level tickle chickens at once, and good old Firecracker always has our back when we get in a pinch. #Team iggys

Use to get organic oil in primitive +.

Upgrade speed and weight, and you have the perfect travel / gathering mount.

Upgrade health and attack, and you have a hadrosaur warlord. (I’ve taken down rexes with my lvl 127 combat iguanodon, trust me, iguanodons make better combat mounts than you probably think)

I use my speed/weight iguanodon for quick metal runs, and use my health/attack iguanodon for doing things in dangerous places like the swamps. Kapros can still knock you off of iguanodons but they move so quickly that it’s not much of an issue.

If you’re the farming type of person, this will be your best option, as it can harvest seeds automatically.

So, I've been playing less and less recently, and I figured that Genesis 1 would get me back in since I have the crutch of hexagons, but I have found it to be a bit difficult to start out, especially since the Bog is unwelcoming and Ocean only has base resources.

I suggest you tame one up for Bog exploration, it will increase your travel speed and survivability.

Use the seed ability for the prefect gatcha food

This creature is really fast and amazing at collecting berries. It’s really easy to tame and way better than a parasaur.

Really good at getting rare mushrooms in abberation

The first thing I tame every new spawn. Gathers berries and thatch very quickly and can defend itself better than people think! Put a dimorph on your shoulder for support and even a mid level one of these is good for quick early game carno and below kills. Run into a thatch/wood beach bob. Rip that ish open too. Plus eggs are good for kibble. Just imprinted one on pvp official, 50% maturity as I’m writing this :) Name: Don Juan the Iguanadon
