If you’re on mobile and single player, don’t make a saddle! You get a free one after completing the tame icthy pursuit

They are a great starter water tame to tame bigger tames. They are great to explore the oceans depths. I had a great time having one just make sure you put points in the health. I tamed one and I went on a adventure In the ocean and found lots of cool stuff and even made a base.

How to raise an itchy

1. Go into the water for a good swim and see what you can find one

2. Once you see one it might swim up to you and hug you

3. Obtain meat to feed the marine reptile

4. Begin feeding the reptile WARNING: there is a bug that when they are hugging you they glitch and get you stuck and you could very well drown doing this so be careful.

5. Once tamed craft a saddle for it. It is fairly easy to craft the itchy saddle

Uses of the itchy when tamed:

1. They are extremely agile and swim faster than any other aquatic tame

2. For mobile players: they don’t get aggravated on by anything

3. They are so fast they do a full rotation around the island in less than 3 in game days

Weaknesses of the itchy when tamed:

1. They don’t have much health nor do they do much dmg

Best for killing scorpions on bottom of ocean floor since they don't take torpor. Scorpions down there will knock any other animals out. Once you kill it, hit it with a pickaxe to gather black pearls. Very useful for the next update with tek gear.

It would be awesome if these guys could jump.

Please don’t be fooled. All these people saying they won’t get attacked is a feature on MOBILE ONLY. Even on pc or console, there’s still good tames. While they’re not great harvesters and don’t have much health, food, or stamina, they're easily capable of outswimming everything in the ocean. Those stupid megalodons don’t stand a chance.

These things are used for one thing and one thing only: speed. Invest it all in speed and nothing can hope to match you underwater. A good Dino to kite with

These things are amazing like literally Op, its easy to tame and the best thing about it is its very fast, nothing attacks it yes! nothing even when i damage any creature it will only attack me once and then leave me alone and i could also just kill creature's easily after getring hit once only yeah... just dont get off your itchy and if you do everything will start attacking you even after you get on the itchy again so dont get off the itchy under water if your tryna collect oil just equip the pickaxe and you'll be able to mine while riding the itchy! which means your on god mode bec nothing is a threat to you.. i dont know about land creatures tho...

They nuzzle up to you for an easy start to a game but tend to wander off after a while. It is best if you trap it in a walled off area while it follows you for an easy tame

To the person who had a tame named Mini you know you could’ve just requested her in water you know? It is very useful for when you lost an animal.

If you wanna tame one of these beasts just go to Hervibore island and you’ll find so many of them following basilosaurs I tamed 2 and Breeded them I got baby ichthyasaur but got killed by lvl 1 Meg and I killed it and got teeth.Up if good

Not true. Icthys on mobile still are not attacked by anything in the ocean(unless u attack it). I tested it while taming a lv 80 mosa. Swam right next to it before I attacked. I still think icthys are the best underwater tame. Their fast, they have rider weaponry, and r perfect for taming plesiosaurs and mosas. Tamed easily, as they swim right up to u. They eat dodo kibble, and if u have 3-5 kibble, u can easily get one fast. (-like if this helps😁)

ATTENTION MOBILE PLAYERS!!!!!! This is gonna sound extremely crazy and you might not believe me but ever since the mobile update, megalodon do aggro on tamed ichthys! There are probably more creatures that aggro on ichthys, I just haven’t found out yet because mine was killed by a bunch of Cnidaria (jelly fish) and I haven’t tamed any since then. This is a crisis beyond global warming!!!!!

Go to your profile and it should say tames _/_ tap that and then it will show you all the animals you’ve tamed that are alive. Then go to the one you lost and hit request! Hope this helps anyone who needs it.

Tame it at herbivore island, there is a circle in the middle of the island where there are alot of them and they are trapped so it is easy to tame

I recommend taming one of these while riding something cause they like to say hi to tames so they will just be chilling right by you while you tame them

Do not try taming near any shoreline. Every time one takes my food, it immediately regrets human interactions and commits harikiri by touching land.

These are very fast they are like the aquatic version of the Pteranodon .Like this so it will be considered a fast Dino in the search bar.
