If you need prime meat tame this guy put him on hunt and he will get dodos and drop them on you, then harvest and you will get at least 2 prime for every dodo. There is no cool down all you need is a lot of dodos

To the person who said if you want to tame this you’re mentally ill , this lil guy right here is very helpful in gathering fish meat last minute , for example you’re just wandering around and see a very high level baryonyx and u decide to knock it out first then get the meat ichthyosaur is just for that , or if your tamed baryonyx is low hp and you have no fish meat but a river is nearby , it’ll be saved.

Point on a fish... And Double press F... They'll hunt the fish and bring it to u... Use a Sickle on the fish and BAM u'll get Prime fish meat... Same on Dods By the way... Good Luck and thumbs up ;)

Set to follow a Dino at base on aggressive. Watch intruders try placing C4 or shoot at you while constantly having it ripped from their hands.

So these are actually useful. If you use it to attack dodos, lystros, fish and other small creatures it kills them and they glow. When they glow and you harvest them you get prime meat from land animals and prime fish from fish.

So this guy is super cool he will get you fish and then bring it back to you without you having to attack the fish! I have 2 of them (one named razorbeak the other stork) Stork is like my little baby so i send RazorBeak to go fishing for me. To get them to hunt for you just take them off follow put them on hunt and retrieve then on aggressive... They usually won't attack anything other then a fish or dodo when you do this.. I get prime fish meat all the time now so no more hunting for me!!!

Tame one, set it to hunt and aggressive and it will get quite a bit of fish!

Great for farming prime from fish, but it fails at attacking small land animals to turn them to prime. Even after penning, using the bola, and KOing the prey before the attack, the Ichthy just cannot attack any animals lower than your knees.

Useful for taming pelagornis,baryonyx,hesperornis of otter that has been announced.

Seriously broken. Don't use! Or use with extreme caution and only use the Hunt and Retrieve! They ignore your commands, do whatever they please and more often than not just fly off aggroing everything. This piece of a shit seeks to destroy you, wild or tamed.

"No hunt" means this bird goes on Aggressive when you whistle anything for any other dino - EVEN IF it's on passive AND ignore group whistles. An Ichtyornis on passive and any of the Hunt settings might suddenly go on neutral just because. "Hunt" causes it to go attack any dodo or fish it can find - so they usually get lost flying too far or they aggro something stupid.

The last Ichtyornis I had attacked a bronto right next to my newbie base and got almost all of my tames killed and half of my base destroyed. I've seen them attack turtles, paras and moschops, too, not accidentally. So I wouldn't be surprised if they actually would attack brontos just for the fun of it.

I think you should try to tame this as an water pt it has decent weight and Regens Stam on water also great at fishing

When tamed it can get fish and instantly kill them in Hunt and Retrieve, it will glow yellow and you can get Raw Prime Fish off it. Also it can hunt and instantly kill Lystro while on Hunt and Retrieve, and it will glow yellow and give some Raw Prime Meat. However, it can't do this with Dodos, at least not in Primative Plus, maybe in normal Ark it can do this with Dodos.

They can go underwater to get fish for you pretty much a tiny pelagornes.
