Just tamed one and I set it to hunt and retrieve and it just gave me the fish it was so cute 🦆🦢🥺

These are great shoulder mounts for carnivore taming because they can get easy prime meat.

While a lot of people don't like these because they steal your stuff while wild, they are actually very nice when tamed.

Just hover your cursor over a fish or small creature (like Dodo) and throw off your shoulder. Your Itchy will kill the creature and bring it back to you. They will also inflict a buff on the dead creature which will cause it to give Prime Fish Meat or Prime Meat when harvested, no matter what they originally gave!

Not to mention how cute they look when bringing prey back.

These guys get you prime meat from dodo birds. Highly recommended

Once tamed they will only eat fish. Helpful to keep some cooked fish meat on hand as it takes longer to spoil than raw.

Amazing for early-mid game biotoxin. Throw them off your shoulder, whistle attack target on those darn jellies, and watch them get one-shotted by your trusty bird. You can now swim in peace!

As much as I hate these things tame them and use them to kill jellyfish 🪼 just send them at the jellyfish 🪼 and then you have one dead jellyfish 🪼

Tho high level ichtyornis might be hard to tame, they really help with the early farming of raw prime meat and raw prime fish meat

The fish they hunt down are boosted and are better to tame otters and hesperornis etc

As the Pego's smarter partner in crime, the Ichthyornis will only steal food from you, but you will never get it back. But before you genocide all Seagulls from the beaches, they can get prime meat and prime fish meat for you, meaning if you don't want to get killed by salmon or want revenge on the pirahnas, use this guy to bring them back to you and harvest their succulent meat.

They can be used for getting prime meat fresh when doing a tame. Just knock the dino out then use this guy on a nearby dodo or any other small thing and youll have some fresh prime to give to your soon to be pal.

Don't underestimate the usefulness of these guys. They are annoying at start but once you have one tamed, they are VERY helpful. Getting prime meat from Dodos for bigger tames or "golden" fish for taming an otter. Regular kibble being their preference makes it an easy early-game tame.

In the wild, I can’t think of anything more annoying. Once their tamed they have an ability so that they can kill dodos and you can get prime meat for it.
