Just found out each du du of there movement is counted as 1 second out of the 30

Also when pet move back and then try to stay away from the face also upped speed is really good for the crouch

Pick it up with an Argy, drop it in a 2 by 2 with one wall on each side being a tall door way. Pet it, hide behind the wall for 30 seconds and pet it again. Don’t get in front of it and pet it, always get behind. Also use Ghillie gear so it has less of a chance to spot you

Pick up with any any mount into a safe location the weather ghille and sneak up and pet every so often

A buddy can hold it with a ptera while you tame it by sneaking up and petting his butt. There you go difficulty avoided.

Snatch one from a pack with a ptera,if it agros just render out and back in after 3min. Then go full ghillie and start petting

I see what other people have said but in my opinion these things aren't much of a problem especially if you have something like an argentavis as you cna pick them up and either kill them or put them in a trap if you have a trap built but don't have an argentavis my tip for you is to get a fast dino or if you are fast hit one and sprint towards your trap if your lucky you can get the whole pack in there and kill the ones you don't want hopefully this helps but I wouldn't try tame one super early game :)

Net gun, tent, log out for 2 min. Tame the part poking out of tent. Easy Peasy Lemmon squeezy.

Place one stone foundation and place stone doorways on all four corners, place stone hatch and put four stone walls on second layer, get argie pick up hyandon and drop in top, fly away to de-agro and then crouch up and sit under it, tame through hatchframe

Build a 1x1 out of thatch or whatever your heart desires, grab an argy and drop one in it. You can pet it through the wall! BOOM! Done. I used wood foundation and thatch walls that were lying around. Must be walls, so it can't "see" you. Mine had its head sticking through a wall and I got super close and just started petting it like George from of mice and men.

Don’t nock it out it will not attack you you just have 2 walk over and pet the cute thing

1 get gille Armor

2 get flying drop in 1 foundation long pen 3 or more high pet it then have a good doge

Get a single foundation, surround it with walls so it’s literally just a 1x1 foundation with walls surrounding it, after that grab a Pteranodon or argentavis and drop the hyena in it, the hyena will become stuck in place but it will stick its head out of the wall letting you pet its head that’s clipped through the wall without it detecting you

Ok- to anyone who thinks this is a complicated tame, it’s not. All you have to do is crouch behind it and pet this little cutie a few times and BAM a life long friendship is born. Hope this tip was helpful. -Delinquent Dodo 🦤

You pet the doggo, not feed him

If you somehow have access to Scorched Earth items, be sure to make and consume Cactus Broth before taming this animal; Together with a full set of Ghillie Suit and a clear taming area, you can easily pet it without risking an aggro of either flee or attack kinds.

I suggest using a good size pen with plenty of room and made of door frame at least 2 high i where full ghille (not needed but helps) pet then back away and let them walk around until I can get behind them again will take a few times to get hang of it but after taming one should be easier

PVE

1. Pray to the ark god's you find one stuck somewhere.

2. Make sure you're close enough to see the pet timer and far enough away to not lose efficiency.
