If you are planning to tame a griffin on official, go over to crystal isles, in the griffin trench they can spawn up to level 250 for some god forsaken reason. Literally 100 levels above rag, plus you don’t have to hunt for them.

Just caught a lvl 140 with a great trap off YouTube. Just killed things around the griffon canyon on crystal isles. Got prime meat then found mutton but, caught it rode it. Then got jumped by a theri while transferring servers D: going back tommrow. Don’t use raw meat. Use prime meat or mutton. Bring 50 tranq and id say bring 100 narcos.

One player takes a Wyvern and lands on a high point. Another player gets on a smaller flyer like an Argent in my case and aggros the griffin. Fly around the other player on cliff on their buff Wyvern until the griffin gets stuck. Other player dismounts and shoots with tranq darts until griffin KO. Worked honestly really well with 2 high/max wild griffins in a row.

Best place to tame is the Griffin Trench on Crystal Isles, located near the Desert Wyvern Hive in the... well... desert. Argy traps work fine, remember to use double doorways instead of pillars, so much easier. Don't be me and build your trap close to the Desert Wyvern Hive. You will be surprised how far out those wyverns fly. Would recommend building the trap at the end of the Griffin Trench closest to the savanna hills with the purple crystals. Do not build on the side closest to the tropical area.

After building your trap, standard procedure, use ptero to lure nearby Griffin into trap, close the door. You can use traq arrows, but switch to darts after it starts getting bloody. Wait for four seconds in between shots to maximize efficiency. This does not apply to darts, as the dart reload animation already lasts four seconds.

You can shoot weapons and do a dive on Griffins, but they are otherwise useless. I wouldn't even recommend shooting from their backs as their body tends to get in the way.

I don't know what happened but I tamed a level 3 with 950 health and when It eoke up its max health dropped from 950 to 50

I really recommend doing trap... These guys are so much of them in a trench in CI (Crystal Isles). Easier doing trap cuz if you ran out of darts, the griff is still in the trap then you can go craft more. :)

If you try to tame it with a bow you have made a bad choice

Why do these tame faster in pc?

It’s simple Net gun the sucker and shoot it😝

Use a trap to tame it and you have a best friend

Try to make a trap with enough room in the roof for the Pteranodon to get out but not the griffin

Use darts. Tranq arrows kill it almost every time if it takes damage before you knock it out.

Another way to tame one is if your selected Griffin is in a valley or canyon, all ya need is two iguanodon, run around and shoot it, terrible turning circle, then when it runs it will hot the walls and you can continue to pummel darts pr arrows into its feathered hide!!!

Trap it and tranq the frick out of that thing

I used tranq arrows to tame my level 150 so don't worry about having to use tranq darts. 😁
