If you can get a harpoon gun and a net, that’s been the easiest way for me.

Build a huge trap and get a pteranodon to fly straight through and get a friend to help u and they shut the gate. Then tranq it and get meat like a normal tame.

Cooked mutton is wrong on here it takes almost the same as cooked prime not raw

To KO a Griffin you need about 7 dino gates and you need to shoot it then run into the trap with agate on each end the one you want open is the one facing the Griffin and the one you want closed is the one not facing the Griffin. Then run into the trap and go out the side and try to close the gate without it getting out. If it's your first time it might take a few tries to get it in they when it's in shot about 50 tranqs with slightly raised rates but with normal rates shot about 75.

You don’t HAVE to have stone. Wooden dinosaur gateways, walls, floors, and ceilings work fine. You can use windows to shoot through. Tranq arrows and crossbow are fine if you give a little time between them so you don’t kill it. Put a door or small gap somewhere for you to escape once you’ve gotten the griffin in the trap. Wait until food drops down low enough to feed for faster tame. Good luck!

I knocked a level 22 with arrows on a primitive crossbow, darts are not needed for lowish levels as far as I know.

trust me. use "captain fatdog" Griffin trap to trap a griffin. cheap, easy, and effective

If you find a high level one, see how slow it is. Generally I've noticed Griffins are pretty slow. I tamed one with my Deinonychus using the normal Argie trap. Recommend using prime meat for taming. You don't need a lot and carry extra narcotics because tranq arrows don't work for very long on these guys.

U dont need to use tranq darts on griffins just use tranq arrow I just tamed one without any tranq darts

I say use shocking tranq darts but everyone has their opinions.ps plz add breeding for the griffin.

Never attack without good hunting gear. You have to be over level 85 to tame in mobile.

Found two griffins at the same time, one was lvl 15 and the other 150. Killed the 15 and knocked out the 150, it ate raw prime meat and that accounted to 1%. Used a soothing balm and now it’s 7%... I want to cry

If it gets bloody give it 2 dodos, my tribe did that and it worked with a crossbow. Also jive it like 2-1 minutes to heal.

You just wanna fly all day with this thing.

I personally think you should bring a sturdy crossbow and sleep darts

I had a griffin a few days ago... I had. I tried to tame a second one, thought that a level 4 would be easy after my level 36... Wrong idea! Now my poor little Pabu is dead. Do not underestimate them, even if it’s a low level! And I will stick to my ptera to do the taming, they don’t trap themself in the griffin’s trap...

Still wondering how it is possible that my level 59 Pabu has been killed by a level 4...

If you are planning to tame a griffin on official, go over to crystal isles, in the griffin trench they can spawn up to level 250 for some god forsaken reason. Literally 100 levels above rag, plus you don’t have to hunt for them.

Just run in a circle it's turn radius is not the best

Just caught a lvl 140 with a great trap off YouTube. Just killed things around the griffon canyon on crystal isles. Got prime meat then found mutton but, caught it rode it. Then got jumped by a theri while transferring servers D: going back tommrow. Don’t use raw meat. Use prime meat or mutton. Bring 50 tranq and id say bring 100 narcos.

One player takes a Wyvern and lands on a high point. Another player gets on a smaller flyer like an Argent in my case and aggros the griffin. Fly around the other player on cliff on their buff Wyvern until the griffin gets stuck. Other player dismounts and shoots with tranq darts until griffin KO. Worked honestly really well with 2 high/max wild griffins in a row.
