Be sure in the Ragnarok server Dino cap is available.... For not waste time, and go with 2 Dino: pterodon full stamina, and wyvern or another full attack and hp for kill Dino around for prime meat, only if you don't have allo kibble 😁

I recommend using a trap (unless you already have a grif then you can just tranq it in the air). I found that 7 dinosaur gates worked the best. Also I found it easier to have a friend on so they can lead it towards you in the trap. And then you just have to agro it somehow. Also make sure your tames are on passive in case it hits you.

That’s is a really easy trap you can make and it can’t escape but a net helps to close the gate

Don't try to kite one of these into a trap with an argy! Argys aren't fast enough. Not my brightest moment.

Use a snow owl to heal the Griffin when it gets low on hp. Ps UNLOCK YOUR TRAPS

I find that luring it into a hallway-like trap as tall as a normal gate and pillar walls helps trap it, especially when you use a pillar to shorten its ability to move. Most effective method, max DMG horse kicks. Trust me, high lvl griffins fall to this always

Line the gates up with little space between them, 1 door on each side. Aggro one and drag it in there, tranq it, feed it, explore ark.

After reaching a high torpor, they will flee faster than you when your mama threatens to beat ya.

The aggro created from eating flowers will not effect griffins.

From my experience on console this thing does not have a head shot hit box so prepare for body shots. Also if it is a lower lvl griffin like 55 and below tranq arrows have a very high chance of killing it.

To people that say that you can only knock Griffins with darts NO I knocked mine out with arrows and let me just say that level 108 had 11,000 FREAKING TORPOR THATS AS MUCH AS DAMM GIGA

I made a 6x6 foundation but 2 wooden dino gates on it then I used the wooden door frame as walls and through a ceiling up. I then agro a griffin and had it follow me inside there. I walked out the door frame yet that lvl 100 griffin was stuck there. So I lit him up with traq arrows

Starve timer is way off and it takes more mutton than stated.

Tranq arrows work just fine no need to use darts

Taming this during a 3x event with a level 145 actually required 11 mutton, not 10 as previewed. Also put in 10 narcotics for for precautionary measures, but I don’t think that it was not needed.

Tip for the noobs

Build a 2 by 4 foundation trap ( would recommend stone ), place two dino gate frames with gates on the two sides with two foundations. Then take double door frames on the four foundation sides and make them as tall as the Gino gates. Then just cover the top with eight stone roofs. Once you got that have one tribemate stay by the trap with a dino gate open, the other take a pterandon and bring the griffin into the trap and fly out threw the double door frames ( pterandons can fit through double door frames). As the griffin goes in the the trap the other tribemate closes the gate. Boom a trapped griffin! Gl!

If you do not want to build a trap, try and knock it out in a thin canyon area, this way it is likely to get stuck on the canyon walls trying to escape, you will need high health / good armour for this.
