The dossier came out finally! Ok so I’m the wild they have nests and they protect their eggs to the death and will even except other creatures babies into their brood, (ASA will have baby Dino’s that spawn in the wild, so if the mother of the baby dies, the gigantoraptor will take care of it) you can’t tame adults, you have to (I don’t know if you gotta kill the mother, or just be careful, or distract her or what..) then you gotta earn the babies trust, and it will be yours (probably feed it…) once it’s an adult, it can use it’s call to attract orphan wild dinos and take care of them, (idk if this is going to be the only way to tame the wild babies or not.) also it and it’s young (the babies following it wild or her own) get an attack buff when near each other, I’m confused on how this is helpful because the babies are weak and will just die.. maybe she has to die first and they are invulnerable, 🤷🏻‍♂️ But that feature would probably be more helpful for base defense. Anyway that’s the gigantoraptor next creature vote is for aberration and the top ten are looking good so stay tuned.

Good tame. Can no longer gate trap parents. Use fert eggs (rex or above preferred) to lure parent, or have a buddy run interference using a tame to block.

It can carry eggs in its inv regardless of level and cooks them down to 0% like an incubator. Each bird gives a feather based on its highest base stat that when fed to a female tame increases the subsequent baby's chance of inheriting that stat.

It also imprints babies to it in addition to your own and when nearby gives the baby's a 10% damage reduction.

The Gigantoraptor is going to be one of the first creatures to be exclusively added to Ark Ascended. If you don’t know already, Ark Ascended is a refurbished version of Ark Survival evolved that will be released some time this year for the latest consoles and systems. Ascended will boast improved graphics, something Evolved has been lacking, and revised mechanics. The devs claim that Ascended is intended to be a space filler for fans before Ark 2 is released in a year or so. Some critics have claimed this is a money grab, as the release of Ascended coincides with the suspension of public servers on Evolved. What ever your opinion, this feathered theropod marks the beginning of something

Fun fact: while its name might lead you to think this is related to Velociraptor, it’s actually a close relative of oviraptor

Fun fact: if u have a baby gigantoraptor and want an idea of what feather it might give u. Just plug in the stats like it’s a wild Dino if you don’t have tek binoculars and want to know point distribution. It won’t be fully accurate because obviously u tamed it and now it will be imprinted on u. But it’ll be close enough to make an educated guess.

For anyone trying to figure out how to get a specific feather from these things it is what it’s highest stat I tamed three of them and each of their highest stats were health, melee, and weight and from each of them I got their respective stat so look for the gigantoraptor that has the highest amount of points in the stat that you want.

In the submission it protects eggs and babies and gets a buff when near them and it has a yuti type roar. that seems a little unbalanced so it’ll probably change, the dossier should be released next week. they did mention it having sharp claws so maybe it has a roar that gives other creatures bleed damage? (probably not that’s waaaaayy op)
