Afther place 3 metal dinogate you can lure him by use pretanodon carry any small wild creature lure him to cage and drop it that you carry it while giga stuck in cage dismount and quickly place 1 metal dinogate to complete cage it

This guy's torpidity drains FAST so be constantly inflicting torpidity. Having more than one person helps a ton.

All I have to say is MOTHER F'ER HARD TO TAME OR KILL! I JUST STARTED TRYING AND I STILL END UP ON MY GRAVE.

Use a quetzal with a platform to tranq it from a safe height.

Since the flyer nerf, quetzals aren't a option & the Tapejara rider doesn't always have their shots counted. We recently tamed a 150 on foot. For those of us who don't have metal traps for these monsters, I offer this advise. Smugglers Pass. It is between two mountains, almost perfectly so kiting it down is a breeze. Depending on your server, this may be taken. But where the first two cliffs open after following the river in, is a giga nigtmare. There are two rock faces you can stand on & fire from. A third if you're willing to dance with an argent or two. While the Giga may run, it will likely become stuck on the numerous rocks, cliffs, and probable pillars if in PVE. Remember, this is a Giga. Light it up. Don't wait five seconds between shots like most. In our experience, it's best to spend every arrow you have, break all of your bows, and then light it up again some. Until that thing hits the ground, it can take more arrows. In the worst case, you save pumping some narcotics.

Giga are strong because are strong

When I want to kill one, I use my asendent long neck and tranqs to knock then I use my spino(left at a safe distance) to kill it. Ps you may need to give it narcs as well.

To the person say they will use a quetz with a platform saddle to tame it’s almost impossible to tame with out a trap, I’ve tried and failed so many times.

To trap it make a bear trap in for dinosaur gates, place three of the dinosaur gates in a square shape with one of the sides missing then placed the bear trap inside the square after that, lead the giga in side of the square through the empty side on towards the bear trap, and then fill in that side with the last dinosaur gate, and then knock it out how you see fit (best with a good long neck and shocking tranq darts) feed it either superior kibble, mutton, or prime meat. Make sure to have a good amount of narcotics if the taming a slow on your server, then you got yourself a giganotosaurus

If you are making a trap don't build it near rocks, I was making a trap but halfway the giga would not walk over rocks smaller than it

I knocked out a giga I’m playing on easy mode and plus I’m 51 I am spamming sleep thing and I am gonna go and try and get prime hope the giga don’t get up if it dose then more wasting hours farming narcotics

To find circle the higher places of the west artic mountain on the island Warning be careful if taming on griffin mountain/ non snow mountain closest to carno island cause of the royal griffs unless ur over level 80

Don't try to tame one without a trap or you'll be wasting your time

Get a good speed stamina and weight tapejara or pteranodon and a 15x soothing balm with prime and lots of narcotics and then find a giga and if you use tapejara fly somewhere nearby like a cliff and get on the side of the cliff to shoot when the giga gets to close fly somewhere else to shoot repeat to knock out the giga if you have a pteranodon make a metal trap from dino gates with a bear trap in the center I think you use five dino gates but only place down 4 in a circle shape and leave room for the 5th dino gate in the circle now lead the giga into the trap it should get caught in the bear trap and put the 5th dino gate behind the giga closing off the circle. Im on mobile btw hope this helped I still haven’t tamed a giga but is this a good strategy I came up with it myself

Use a trap it’s SO much cheaper and you can actually tame it. if you play ark mobile you can use battlements (big walls) and go to the lava cave to get good longnecks I did that and I now have 3 gigas at level 84 (I’m at level 84) the third one is breeded

Now that Genesis: Part 2 is out, the only thing you should ever use to knock a giga out is the tek bow. Trap it in a 4x4 metal behe gate trap, and shoot it off your skiff or build a platform that's one or two walls higher than the behe gates. Easy peasy!
