Use a trap it’s SO much cheaper and you can actually tame it. if you play ark mobile you can use battlements (big walls) and go to the lava cave to get good longnecks I did that and I now have 3 gigas at level 84 (I’m at level 84) the third one is breeded

Now that Genesis: Part 2 is out, the only thing you should ever use to knock a giga out is the tek bow. Trap it in a 4x4 metal behe gate trap, and shoot it off your skiff or build a platform that's one or two walls higher than the behe gates. Easy peasy!

A good trap is to have a tip of cup made of metal Dino gates with a large Bear trap in the middle then when the giga gets stuck in the Baer trap run behind it and place a 4 th Dino gate behind it this will trap it in the cup now stand back and start Shooting it (this trap also works for rexs but you can use stone gates instead of metal

These things lose torpor very quickly so make sure to feed it bio toxin as soon as you knock

Trap it with 4 metal Dino gateways and a large beat trap, becomes one of the easiest tames

Beware while taming it near water because when giga will enter it its behavior may bug and it can drown itself.

For those new to game tamed giga has less health then wild one so have that in mind if you want to use your giga against same level wild one.

Torpor drops so fast so keep shooting

In ARK mobile and PC. But mostly on mobile, wild Gigas will always go for the nearest herbivore. So, if you are trying to lure a giga in to trap pick up a small herbivore (parasaur or anything else) with your Argentavis. It won't be very effective as it will also try to kill everything else in the area but at least it won't lose aggro.

Just put 5 metal dinosaur gates in a circle with one hole in the side and a bear trap in the middle then lead it into the bear trap with a flyer and block up the hole.

Make a 60° angle out of two metal dinosaur gateways with the bear trap in the middle. Next use an RG to agro the giga and lead it over the trap. Once it is stuck Quickly hop off and place one last metal gateway in the gap completing the triangle.

I would recommend taming a giga with kibble or mutton and wait 10 minutes wall you are keeping it knocked out after 10 minutes feed your food type. And don't use the giga instantly!

To trap it make a bear trap in for dinosaur gates, place three of the dinosaur gates in a square shape with one of the sides missing then placed the bear trap inside the square after that, lead the giga in side of the square through the empty side on towards the bear trap, and then fill in that side with the last dinosaur gate, and then knock it out how you see fit (best with a good long neck and shocking tranq darts) feed it either superior kibble, mutton, or prime meat. Make sure to have a good amount of narcotics if the taming a slow on your server, then you got yourself a giganotosaurus

If you are making a trap don't build it near rocks, I was making a trap but halfway the giga would not walk over rocks smaller than it

Never take shortcuts I tried play the trap down In a bad position I got hit next to giga It killed me And my maewing And almost killed my max level wyvern

4x3 metal foundations, 5 high metal doorways, metal ramps, shoot it, run it into the trap.

I will say this about a giga if you miss a shot you will use way more than recommend to knock it out and you better put bio toxin (personal favorite I think it works better than narco) in inventory fast as its torpor will deplete quickly

Giga Taming First get Quetzal egg Kibble next go to a mountain there are four mountains where it lives after that get shocking tranquilizer darts and longneck then get on some thing like a raptor out run it are you doing this pelt it with shocking tranquilizer darts after it falls asleep make sure it stays asleep with narcotics or Biotoxin i’m feeding the kibble after that you have a new giga it’s saddle can be made at level 98.
