On singleplayer, you can easily tame a giga with cooked fish meat by:

1. Making sure your giga is knocked out

2. Wait until its torpor is low but not on the cusp of the giga waking up

3. Spam all required narcotics to make its torpor high again (or every one if the amount of required narcotics equates to not even all of its torpor)

4. Place down a bunk bed, sleep, die after you wake up, respawn fast enough to get back your bunk bed

5. Repeat step 4 until your giga is tamed or step 3 if you need to use more of your narcs

6. Enjoy +16 levels if you did it with a lvl 150 giga

Just get a crossbow with 40 toxicant arrows, 4000 cinidaria venom, soothing balm (if console or pc use prime meat because they like it more so taming will be quicker) and 500 meat. Then shoot it down and give the balm, give it meat and if you use the balm that you get from hunt raptor it will take 3 meat pieces. This will pretty much work for any giga with 80,000 health or below (I got a 83k in my experience).

Hard to tame without a trap cause it keeps running around. I tried with tranq darts but it kept running and lost all torpor. Even a high hill won't be effective so remember to make a trap.

Found out on fjord there is a giga variant called the “R-Giga”

I knocked one out, demolished the metal bill boards around it and put some prime in its inventory. 3 seconds later it woke up. A level 150!! Thousands of torpor in seconds.

Place HUNDREDS of bear traps. And just keep. On. Shooting. You might go through quite a few bows/guns or whatever you’re using but it’s worth it for a deadly mount. If you have enough bear traps set he won’t even get close to you before you get him unconscious. Just remember to keep him that way… as a personal message

To tame one first you needt to trap hi then place metal dinasour door for protection and then knock hom and give soothing balms and narcotic

You probably tamed your rex without a trap, I know I did! Well, kiss that goodbye, because these guys won’t stand still long enough for that… and they’re fast and very powerful! Rexes are slow and dumb so they’ll sit they’re letting you shoot them from atop a cliff, Gigas won’t have any of that bs, so you need to trap them!

Who tamed one on Day 64? They r hard

The way I tamed my one is get on a high place and get another friend to distract on other side of mountain while your mountain one mountain shooting at it and make sure it’s agro on your friend so some one can shoot from behind.

So easy to tame if you do it right you just simply trap it in using metal gates and bring about 200 tranqs with you just to be safe and tranq it out.

My tribe easily got a max by trapping it with metal dinogates and lighting it up w/tranqs on top of a quetz and at a safe distance. Starve taming soon followed. Not too tough with flyers, just stay safe and keep your distance

When taming, use the four metal dino gates of course, but I actually recommend using a tapejara so you can hover above the trapped giga and shoot it from the back seat of the tapejara, as it’s common to trap the figs in a dangerous area.

MAKE A TRAP IF YOU ARE DOING THIS SOLO TRUST ME IT WILL RUN AWAY IF YOU DO NOT USE ONE AND ALWAYS OVERPREP

The funnest way to tame the giga is use a quetz platform

Tip don’t make a base near the large mountains I had to lead this away from my base while I’m breeding rexes my argy almost died bc of the giga it’s a good lvl I might tame it

When u tame one it has 17 thousand health and attack is 18 percent so has that happen to you and it's a level 63!?

You see one and even when your ready to tame it you still turn around and run like hell

I was just looking for metal then a giga just came up behind me and one shot me and my royal griffin so I thought it was a good idea to take all my Dino’s to go kill the giga and let’s just say that I don’t have any Dino’s anymore😭(rip Dino’s I’m sorry for taking you guys to a giga so he could one shot you)
