\_/ And give it a bunch of mutton. Make sure you have biotoxin to force feed it when torp gets low. Once it’s tamed, level up it’s damage to 100% that’s all you need and now just level up stam and whatever else you want u have a magnificent battle creature

Easy breed but don't walk away while hand feeding. And prepare to live 11 days in 3 to 4 hour intervals if you want 100% imprint. Mine is 2 days from completion and with imprinting is at 291.4 mellee. Born at 245 mellee lvl 231 female.

They are way faster than so watch out

ALTERNATIVE METHOD (for mobile)

kill it

revive it* (at obelisk, preferably green)

make it fall off the cliff while you stand at the little platform just above that

tranq it while it tries to bite you (youre in the range of the bite, but you wont take dmg and the giga wont run away once in a while)

*average giga implant costs 24 amber, max takes 48

When hatching a giga egg on mobile you will need about 7-10 standing torches (Angler Gel reccomended) and then you need to wait 5 hours (be very careful if it’s too hot or too cold) this is going to take a while, If you want to fully imprint. Make a save file about 20 seconds before the egg hatches and then keep restoring save file until you get the cuddle or walk ones, then after doing that you wait for 30 minutes then save data in about 20 or 10 (depends on you) seconds before the imprint quest finishes you just keep restoring data until you get cuddle or walk and repeat. Congrats you now have a 100% imprint giga

While taming a gigs I recommend using 5 behemoth metal gate in a row and put 1 behemoth metal door on each end. Bring at least 400 tranq arrows or 350 trans darts or 300 shocking tranqs.

Taming a giga itself is very simple and straightforward like when you’re low level and you want to tame a rex.

the hardest part is, the preparation, costs, and finding the giga.

and the best way to tame it solo is by trapping it in a metal cage, also

get an ascendant longneck rifle, or a compound bow, anything that deals atleast 800-1000 damage knock out weapon. but even with this level 60’s need like 30-70 darts on their faces, and also, pack a bunchload of narcotics, preferably 300, or comfortably 500

if on mobile, get a soothing balm as i highly recommended it.

now, i have tamed one and the way i tamed it was mission impossible style :cool:

So, i got a grappler and grappled onto the giga’s back where it cannot bite me, and then just started shooting darts. although be careful, once he is torpor running, the grapple will break and while torpor running, you cannot grapple it.

and lastly, TF GIGAS SUCK

I tamed one on ragnarok it’s was horrible 76 melee and like 2000 health stupid stupid ragnarok gigas

Here's a quick tip for taming that I stole from nooblets, go on an argy and go find a giga(bring a crossbow with a grappling hook,and maybe a few friends) after you met the giga, grapple your argy and a get at a position to shoot it with tranq arrows or darts(its more easier with friends cause the giga runs away if it cant get you, so get a friend on the same argy and follow it)once you have tranqed it go down a shove its face full of kibble or meat(if you want to waste 3 hours of your life on a virtual creature) then quickly feed it tons of narcotics dont get this thing out of your sight or jealous naked people will come up and kill it

Just get a crossbow with 40 toxicant arrows, 4000 cinidaria venom, soothing balm (if console or pc use prime meat because they like it more so taming will be quicker) and 500 meat. Then shoot it down and give the balm, give it meat and if you use the balm that you get from hunt raptor it will take 3 meat pieces. This will pretty much work for any giga with 80,000 health or below (I got a 83k in my experience).

Hard to tame without a trap cause it keeps running around. I tried with tranq darts but it kept running and lost all torpor. Even a high hill won't be effective so remember to make a trap.

To Encounter question about finding and trapping:

I have found them on all 4 of the northern peaks on the island. If you play Mobile, the pursuit takes you to the spawn points: SW side of Griffin peak, NNW side of Crystal peak, W side of the snow covered peak and N side of Blue Obelisk peak, although they may not actually be present there. I presume similar on other platforms.

I used the advice of 3 metal gates and a large bear trap then add the fourth (so thanks that person). They move downhill Very quickly but not back up, so I was successful leading them down to choke points or narrow valleys to trap.

Once trapped, attack to start food depletion, sleep, KO (ascendant longneck rifle and tranq darts) tame with balm and raw prime meat.

Just use four metal Dino gateways and one large bear trap, then put three gateways down one anywhere and then put two more to the side and put the large bear trap in the middle, then get the giga stuck in the large bear trap and run behind it and place the last metal gateway. A giga is really hard to tame, but with the proper preparation and patience you can do it.

First, stock up on narcotics and either a tek bow if you can or if not just a good longneck and a ton of darts.

Second, find a giga and make a trap near it. You can get 4 behemoth gateways and doors and make a square and leave the front and back door open. And in the middle put a couple bear trap to keep the giga caged.

Finally, use a fast flyer with a lot of health and stamina (probably a griffin or an pterodactyl) and lead the giga in, quickly close both doors (prepare to be hit so bring extra armor and healing) and just shoot away, put it the food, wait for it to tame feeding it narcotics and ta da. You have a giga.

So it seems that incubating giga eggs in the incubator with the correct temp won’t give you the 20% boost like other fertilized eggs. Weird.

Dont fight a wild with a tamed you will die.

It only took FOREVERRRRRRRR to knock out. Jeez. I say atleast 45 min to an hour

I knocked one out, demolished the metal bill boards around it and put some prime in its inventory. 3 seconds later it woke up. A level 150!! Thousands of torpor in seconds.
