In my personal experience the easiest way to tame one of these is to take an argentavis and fly it not to close to giga get its aggro then fly up on a high ledge where the giga can't reach you and tranq it (I am on xbox so it may not work as well on PC)

Find a hard time with metal gates.Try stone behemoth gates instead but they usually need gate doors too..Just tame a dodic and Beaver...And one bear trap as usual.Trap it and start knocking it down...Use compound bow and Toxiciant arrows to get results faster than Tranq arrows.

I’ve been playing this game for about six months bc my bf kept begging me to try it. Today, I tamed my first ever giga, on my own from the back of my poison dragon. I was lucky because I managed to get the giga stuck between some rocks and I just kept shooting at it. And never forget to bring narcotics with you, the giga’s torpor drops really really fast. I also found the unicorn and tamed 3 rexes, all in one day

I have tested multiple times to see if a giga will attack a titan, and it wont. To the people telling you to run under its legs to escape from a giga, ur gonna get a whole lotta crossfire and after you experience like 6k dmg in 3 seconds, you will die and ur body will render out, thus ending the fight with them. If the giga did attack the titan though, the giga would 10 shot it and the titan will die.

Get Tapejara fly over it, shoot once and lure it to steep mountain sides and shoot, tame.

When using a trap make SURE YOU ARE ON FLAT GROUND IF YOU DONT YOU AND YOUR BIRD WILL DIE EASILY

Honestly everyone prolly knows this already but for those who don’t, use small metal gates and a few large bear traps. U will need about five to six gateways and at least three large bear traps. Place the first gate however you want it, the n place two more on either side of the first one diagonally.

Make sure you connect them. Place the bear traps inside the formation of gateways. Take note that you can extend the length of the two sides if you want.

Then lure the giga into the trap by going around to the front side and let him follow you into the opening so it will get stuck on the bear traps. Try not to get yourself stuck though. Then go to the back where the opening is and seal off the opening with the remaining gateways. The extra bear traps are if you can’t make it to the back to seal the trap off in time before he gets free. Another note: you cannot do this on a hill. It is very hard. Try to to this on flat ground.

If ur leading it to the trap and u reach you have entered a dangerous area distance ur screwed

go to far's peak to find one I tamed a male one there (btw do a genocide of all the things in the area before leading to ur trap) then after a long time a female one spawned there too and I tamed it

If you can find one on the north east snow mountain I recommend bringing ~ 210 shocking darts and ~ 100 tranq arrows. I had to trap him using 3 behemoth Dino stone gates, but it only took ~60 min. Bring friends if possible

Giganotosaurus just wreck my home & 19 of my tamed dinos - 11 Argentavis, 3 Therizinosaurus, 1 Raptor. I was feel with rage, I literally lit that Gigan with minigun.

The giga is one hell of a dino. If your use to taking out Rexs with a mastercraft double barrel shotgun.... do not make the same mistake I did in thinking you can fight it. You simply can not fight that thing. Just run. Just get on an iguanadon or a flyer and run as fast as you can. Also, if you happen to be mining crystals between Griffin Mountain and the volcano. Watch your back because that is where they spawn.

Challenge: tame a giga without the use of traps, cliffs, fast mount or flyer

if u fight a wild giga with a tamed giga ur gonna get a dead tamed giga, a dead u, and tons of metal ingots narcs kibble and soothing balms wasted

Best way to tame trap it with 4 metal gates if cliffs near trap it there then have around 500 to 600 tranq darts ( depends on level ) then light en up

You might need 1000 to 1500 narcotics

To tame a giga you to knock it out I would recommend using schocking darts then knock it and feed it meat or kibble
