4 normal metal dino gateways (Metal behemoth gates work to but normal metal gates are cheaper it will just take longer time to trap. And large bear trap.

Exceptional kibble

Lota of tranqs 300 or more

Steps

Make a u shape out of the gateways but dont perfectly connect them, give a bit of space on the edges. Also only place 3. And inside put a large bear trap.

Lure giga in (i recomend with flier) it will take a couple attempts.

once it in the giga will be stuck for ten seconds. Quickly as possible place the fourth one so its stuck but try to be careful to it could manuever out, if it does, on singleplayer cloae the game it will load a previous save. ( Hopefully not to far back) and try again. Once trapped tranq until asleep and wait for it to reach 1k or 2k torpor and feed it ALL of your narcotics available. And put the kibble in its inventory and leterr eat. You should now have tamed giga.

HOW TO TAME A GIGA

1) Find a giga they usually spawn near mountains btw

2)trap the giga with 4 metal gates and a bear trap by first placing 3 of the gates and the trap in the middle once the giga gets stuck place the fourth

3)DESTROY the gigas face with tranqs preferably from an ascendant longneck or ascendant crossbow

4)shove food up its mouth and wait until ur mum is 9000 years old make sure u also shove narcotics up its mouth as well

5) after ur mum is 9000 years old u will have a giga which u probably won’t even be able to use until ur dad returns with the milk

The greatest tame ever I tamed one yesterday and lvl 3 - 115

Man there pretty slow but tanks just for taming I went under its belly used a master craft crossbow and tamed it with raw prime meat and raw mutton. To escape this beast get a fast tame (like a gallimimas)idk spelling) lead it to water and your not third breakfast. I named mine killamonjaro.

On a mountain I found one and I use ascendant compound bow it took 49 to knock out and it got stuck in the mountains arch so I go lucky but my pt died and I didn’t get to tame it bc I didn’t know I would come across one so I wasn’t prepared and I was so sad

Is there a certain spot where the gigas can’t hit you or you have to hit them I was shooting mine with a bunch of tranquilizer arrows in a sentence bow and it was getting no tranquility I don’t really understand this how does it work it took me six months to get one to spawn please reply if you know how to get one to fall asleep

I found a breeding pair together BOTH a high lvl. I Feel like that is rare but anyways, I’m going to tame it with shocking tranqs and get some badass imprinted,mutated op Babies! Btw they are R-gigas.

trust me, bring alot of narcotic if you're coming for a level 150.

How to tame a giga

Step 1: use a behemoth dinosaur gate way with bear traps large ones

Step 2: lock him in by placing walls

Step 3: tranq it out

Step 4: feed it raw or prime meat

Step 5: you have tamed a giga

(Nov2022) The best way to kill one with minimal effort is to build a metal floating platform in semi-shallow water, build some metal walls with metal stairs along the inside, and lure it to the drowning pool with a fast flying tame. It'll try to flee back to land but it'll be stuck to die.

The i think easiest way to nock-out a giga Is with metal plaque. If you place the metal plaque wrong you are dead. The best is if you place it like a House that fell on the side… I Hope i could help you :)

If you are breeding for mutations tame a low level female, as low as possible as you can clone them and mass produce eggs for mutations

Wild gigas r so op but when they tame there not. They lose 80% damage and a big chunk of health. But with a lot of work it can be built back up.

Tips& Precautions for taming a giga.

Precautions

1. Always use a trap. trying to tame it without a trap is quite hazardous even with Griffin's or quetzals.

2. Expect your tames to get hurt and die

3. Always bring Extra Ammo and narcotics.

Tips.

1. I recommend using Crossbows because they are quicker.

2.Always be try to feed it as fast as possible because the torpor drain is high

3. Don't fight them(speaking from experience)

Guide

1. 3 metal signposts. One large bear trap. Box formation with enough space for it to enter.

2. Agro the giga in the box.

3. Place 4th signpost to complete the square.

4. Knock it out , and feed it Kibble only.(other foods are worse even with balms)

5. You now have a giga. And a corpse of all your tames and all your narcotics expended.

Hi there! Just a quick reminder for those who would like to tame a giga :)

These things have a torpor that decreases by 100 each second, so I suggest you to bring a whole stack of biotoxins since their torpor drops extremely fast!

Taming griffin, found it, flyed with argy, argy dead, brought ptera, dead again, strongest boi in my games, its dead, REGRET, remembered your last backup, happy again :)

If you’re going to tame one of these, trap it with metal gates and a bear trap and only use tranq arrows! Tranq darts are much slower and if you’re reloading your rifle and the game lags, you will lose all your progress and it’s torpor may drop to 0!

Dont tame a low level, its too much work for a giga that gets wrecked by a dire bear
