Comparison giga vs carcha:

Giga has more health and much more damage than carches, and they are 2 times stronger when tamed. Giga has a rage meter, which makes a large group of giga able to spread rage and boost deadliness.

Carch is faster, and has low stam consumption. If you get the blood rage to 100, the carch is a ravaging beast, easily eclipsing the giga. After a kill, the carch is temporarily very fast and has extreme healing. Great for OSD and element veins!

If you want a large group, use gigas, since more carches = less kills per carch. But is only one tame is needed, or speed overpowers brute force, and there are enough blood for the carch to taste, the carcharodontosaur is without equal

I saw one on the mountain. I was not sure if its rex because i did not have my binoculars. I thought okay lets go kill it with my rex killing machine . 54lv. And then boom. Im dead in 1minute:). I regret taking my only rex of that high level to kill this mf

The amount of narcotics you need are most likely wrong. I used the amount it says for a 120. I used up 2 stacks of narcotics and a stack of biotoxins.

Go faster than sonic if you encounter one in the wild

I just tamed a giga yesterday by using normal dinosaur gates and this is how i did it Step1:Grab an animal with a flyer(I prefer argentavis) Step2:Lead it into the redwoodforest.Step3:Wait for it to go near a very big tree(Not redwood sapling)Step4:place three dinosaur gates around it.Step5:Go near one of those tree bridges and stand on the outside.Step6:If there is two of those big trees that cannot be chopped or knock down blocking the giga start shooting the giga with a mastercraft crossbow and grab like 170 tranq arrows.Step7:If the giga breaks the gates and it tries to chase you the two trees will block the giga and keep shooting it.Step8:If the giga starts running and it crashes into one of thoose big trees again and there is two keep shooting and if it falls use a soothing balm and feed it raw prime meat and feed it bio toxin and boom the giga is all yours(Btw i am on ark mobile i hope this helps:)

With the R-Giga if you plan on using a Tek Bow, take more shards than you think you will need, and HLNA's scan is glitching right now and estimating the Torpor to be lower than the dinosaur actually has/is. If it looks like the Giga is glitched, keep shooting. When you reach the actual torpor rate, it'll KO normally.

Do not turn your back on the Giga once asleep. Do not walk away from it while it's KO'd. The torpor can drop like a rock and no amount of berries or narcotics can max that torpor out again. The torpor drains too quickly. If you walk away, there is a chance your Giga will wake up and eat you. Ideally, make sure you have enough Narcotics or Narco berries to have rows and rows of them. Take a sheep/kibble with you to hunt them so it will be available so you don't need to leave. If you have to step away make it quick and force feed a stack of narcotics before you do so the torpor is going up instead of down. Nothing will Agro to the giga, but stuff will try to eat YOU. Plan accordingly. Happy hunting.

I saw 2 at volcano today! I didn’t even know it was possible for there to be 2 gigas to be spawned but I guess it is! I honestly thought they were really overrated but they are so big and menacing.

Ok. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD ATTACK THIS THING WITH A PACHY 2000 TIMES? Also- would it even survive (the pachy, not the giga)?

This Wild Beast is almost useless. To tame it, you Will need ALL YOUR TIME AND SANITY. And when you tame it, it gets the STUPID NERF OF 80% OF HP AND DAMAGE. No words. AND, if you LET it get MORE DAMAGE THAN USUAL… Say goodbye to hours and hours of Hard working and taming Going into gigas stomach in minutes. When this happen, Just take some popcorn and see your carchas, rexes, quetzals, spinos, ALL OF THEM DIYING. Seriously, tame a Carcha. It Will be better.

There’s this nearly invisible red thing while riding a giga,if it is really red and visible then the giga will attack you even if it’s tamed.

5 Metal dino gateways 1 large bear trap,ton of tranq darts

There is a cheap way to trap and knock out a giga

What you need:

1.) Find a flat surface (so that the trap works well)

2.) Get 4-5 metal billboards

3.) Get a flyer that can carry some creatures (e.x. argy, quetzal)

5.)A small creature that can place the billboard while mounted (e.x. dire wolf or raptor)

6.) Soothing balm X10 (if you are on mobile)

7.) Prime meat and Quetzal Kibble/Exceptional Kibble

8.) LOTS OF NARCOTICS/BIO TOXIN

And 9.) Lots of tranq arrows/tranq darts

Setting up the trap:

Find a flat surface with no creature in it then place 3 metal billboards at this shape \_/, after that go and pick up a creature so that the giga chase you then once its in the trap go and far away and ride the small creature (get far away so that the giga doesnt aggro to you) then place the billboard on the back and voila you have trapped the giga [Test if the giga is really trapped by making it chase you], lasty knock out the giga and maintain its torpor.

If u own a tamed Giga try to not fall of something because if it loses 1000hp or more instantly , it will rage. That means that it will throw u off the saddle and probably eat you, so be aware!!

When I find a giga, I lure it to a location I find easiest to get it stuck. Easiest way to lure it is by placing a dodo or a monkey on the platform on your quetz. It'll register as a land dino and remain aggressive to you. Then get it into a position where if it runs away it gets stuck. I do this with natural traps and solo. Good luck.

If you use the admin command cheat sdfride giga 0 1 you can be a giga

Another way to easily knock these Guys out is just on a griffin not the passenger seat and pump atleast 1500 stam onto ur griffin and just hover over your giga and just rain fire
