The honey is a must for fishing. It can be used for salmon, just like leech blood. I used it as bait for an hour and noticed that fish bite more frequently. In a pool with coel and salmon, I noticed that the salmon bit more frequently than the coels while using honey as bait.

You can transfer to other servers if you cryopod it BEFORE you "obtain" it as a Bee Hive, you can cryopod it and transfer it, just obtain the hive once you throw out the Queen Bee.

C4 the hive. Then you only need to deal with one swarm of easily killable drones, and then taming the queen is simple. Just watch out for the drones she spawns.

To make honey last practically forever, make a fishing rod and equip honey, that is about to spoil, to the fishing rod, then un-equip it. It should refresh the spoil timer. Does not work with leech blood. Tested on PS4.

You can actually (attach) the honey to a fishing rod and remove at anytime. This will prevent the honey from ever expiring! Good way to store it as fishing rods are so cheap to make!

Something I see way too often even with veterans is that if a hive doesn’t spawn mini bees THERE IS NO QUEEN don’t waste time run near hives and if physical bees pop out there is a queen it will also make a loud ass sound btw. Remeber ghille will work with no repellant but repellant makes life easier

keep some rare flowers in the hive after they are tamed, they'll consume it very slowly, but it heals the hive.

the level of the smaller bees is the same level as the queen bee. so you can just attack it then check the level of the small bees so you know what level the queen bee is and you don’t have to break the hive/nest thing

If you have a megachaleon they’ll produce rare flowers and the bees eat rare flowers and the bees will produce honey

When filling your bee hives with rare flowers, they go through 1 flower ever 45mins.

100 flowers equals 75hrs in real time 🫡

My advice for farming up some honey, or taming one of these guys is as follows:

1. Tame a Bronto and equip it with platform saddle

2. Tame a dire bear

3. Go to the redwoods and look for hives

4. Position Bronto to where you can hit the hive with your bear

5. Hit the hive and get the 15 honey with the bear

6. Destroy the hive and get a queen bee to come out

7. Tame with kibble whilst wearing ghillie and bug repelant

8. Turn your bee into a hive and put rare flowers in it to passively gain honey

NEVER CRYO ON ABERRATION. You will not be able to release it bc the game will recognize it as a foreign Dino.
