Very buggy on Valguero. Won’t take kibble from me and flowers only show up 1 out of every 3 bees I find

Either use a wyvern to quickly destroy nest or use spyglass and argent to whistle attack while sat out of drone range. Once nest is destroyed make sure your ghillie is on and your bug repellent is active, whistle tame passive then crouch down and stalk your queen while feeding it rare flowers. Crouching works well for staying out of drone attack range, the drones die after so long and that is your window to ram flowers down the queen's throat. Happy hunting.

Use a small tame such as a pack of dimorphodons to break the nest. Tames that can climb are also useful. Unless using a very strong weapon, guns are not advised as they may harm the bees. Use a ghillie suit and bug spray to remain undetected.

This is the easiest way to tame a bee without having to chase it down. First lower the health for the hive then build a platform in front of the hive, place a wooden cage with the door to the hive, break the hive and the queen will fly into the cage, close the door and tame away.

Wild drones will die after a short amount of time after spawning, if you have trouble with them while destroying a hive, just move far enough away so that they either stop spawning or die before they can reach you

I Thought that the beehive was a egg so I hit and the next thing I know I was killed by a giant bee up if this happened to you

Throw oil on top of the hive and ignite it with flame thrower or torch

When run away until hive gone

Then tame the queen

If you see one run just run!!!

Does anyone know if I can put the beehive on mobile, any other place besides the redwood trees?

Literally cannot find any on Valguero. Searched for like, three hours, going through two different videos, AND using the spawn map, and still have not found a single bee hive.

Put bug spray on your tame and don't make the mistake I did I had no bug spray and no organic polymer suit and even with a thousand health I still dead don't make that mistake

For those looking for these on the Island:

I found two hives in the footpaw (starting area) entrance to the wilderness on the Island.

I have a problem cuz every time I’m hitting or destroying a hive there’s no bees to attack me and no queen to get out any suggestions? I’m playing on the island if matters

The easiest way for me to tame the bee is to get ghille armor on, simple kibble, big repellant and some flame arrows with oil jar. Put the bug repellant on. Throw the oil jar on the hive and shoot it with the flame arrow. It will break the hive. Be sure to get to a distance that they can’t attack you though since some bees will fly toward you. Then put the kibble in your last slot on your inventory bar. Walk up to the queen bee and hit E. I have used other methods and by far this was the easiest. You don’t need high powered weapons or any mounts to kill the hive. Super fast and efficient. Hardest thing was to find a hive. (I did this in Scorched Earth on PC)

Easiest way I've found was sit on a bear and send 2 argy or a powerful flyer to attack nest, if they're overwhelmed by the bees whistle passive and clear out the bees. After the hive breaks put on ghillie and disable follow and usually one rare flower gets you a bee

When you turn the bee into a beehive, be careful because every time you open its inventory (once placed) it causes some damage and you can die from it even with ghillie suit.

If you want to transfer the bee off server, Once tamed, before you do anything, activate a cryopod. Walk up to your newly tamed queen, and cryo it. Do not “obtain hive” if you want to cryo it. Once inside a cryopod, it functions like any other tame. Once you get it where you want to go, and want to place your hive, throw the bee out of the cryopod and THEN walk up to it and “obtain hive”. If you cryo your queen bee, she loses her “drones”, but those drones have nothing to do with honey production, they only act as her primary source of “attack” when whistling her to attack an enemy (there are better Dino’s to use for this purpose).
