If the 1.5 boost is on use 3 kibble and 1 rock carrot or vegetable and it actually takes less time than using just kibble and saves you 1 kibble as well.

Just follow it until it gets itself trapped between trees and/or rocks. That's the only way I've managed to knock one out with tranq as a solo player.

Bring lots of narcotics! On the center they are mostly in the redwoods. Sometimes they spawn in your base (if you live in redwoods) use a bola and have a couple because it takes awhile to get their torpor up(it drops quickly) use kibble so you don't have to use as many narcotics. If you want to use berries or crops, you should wait until double xp because it goes up slowly and uses more narcotics the longer the tame. Make sure to tame quite a lot, too. Their eggs are valuable. (Depends on the server how valuable)

Use darts to knock out the gillimimus once knocked out use berries

You use bola then you knock it out then tame it and then make a saddle for it

⚠️ please READ IMPORTANT ⚠️⚠️ People are saying you can bola them BUT TRUST ME I tried, and learned the hard way and you know what that means! Another episode of YOU CAN BOLA IT! You can only large bear trap them witch is a pain in the butt to do because they don’t agro to you like some other Dino’s and go in a large bear trap do, But be ready if you don’t knock it out in time it will get away, they are super fast and the large bear traps don’t last long.

They do run fast so I suggest to use a bola and a wooden bat.

If you ever want to tame one, bring a bola. Think of the gallimimius as a parasaur in maximum overdrive. It runs away at lightning speed, meaning you either need a) a quick acting tranq with low dps, or b) a bola and either a club or tranq arrows(bring a primitive tool though, they are very fragile creatures for their size.

Also, bring some narcotics. The torpor drains fast if left unsupervised, and that starts the whole process all over again, part 3 goes into more depth.

One more thing, bring a tough mount/tough gear. They spawn in the redwoods, which are at the center of the island(for context for new players, rexes, direbears, purlovias, and carnos oh my), which you also have to cross the swamps(titanoboas, sarcos, baryonx, megaphirana, and kapros). If you can’t pick it up, you actually have a two part mission 1) finding and taming and 2) the escort mission. Bringing some gear that can get you through both segments is key.

Tea leaves... Definitely help taming these guys! Use fresh tea leaves

Put the tranqs into it as fast as you can then wait for it to drop dont spread the shots apart or you will mostly likely kill it it will take a couple seconds to drop so dont worry

You can try to beat it to submission, but you will more than likely kill it.

Use a gun to the head to nock it down
