Tamed a 148 with 2 tamed ovis with health at 1,000. Very simple! Just chucked out Ovis, slaughtered, and repeated.

Might be just like most other flying tames and just knock it out feed it kibble or prime and give it narcotics. Might be a passive tame where you feed it and it flys away and you feed it again and repeat or maybe there’s some new way to tame it. It will likely be in a slightly high up or cold area cause of its feathers to stop it from freezing. It will be a mid game tame not cause it’s hard to tame but where it is might be hard to survive in early game. -lava

One of the easiest ways to tame is with the Kairukus as they spawn in big groups instead of looking for bigger animals and losing your hawk. Also they can carry a infinite amount of weight since they don’t put your items in there inventory, rather they just pick up the bag with their claws and bring it to you…

It doesn't retrieve them more like it holds onto them and runs away

The Fjordhawk is much like a dire wolf in the sense that you can see when a creatures health is low

When encountering; WARNING: A single one untamed hawk is cool, kinda annoying - BUT a flock of these guys is enfuriating. Ontop of it one of your tribemates or dinos die and a SINGLE one nibbles its body, you'll be chasing it down for your(or your mates) stuff. SECOND WARNING: Watch them if they have a paper bag(death bag, these pesky buggers WILL drop it and pick it back up or another of the flock will grab it while you chase. Highly recommend killing a THICC wild dino for them to feast and book for the hills to lose them if you so choose to.... I do....

These guys are so useful for getting your stuff and guess what? They can get artifacts off you when you die and bring them to you!

Definitely worth breeding after you tame a pair since it is one of the harder creatures to tame

Their eggs can be used to make Regular kibble.

You can use your dino to kill creatures with a much lower taming effectiveness BUT you can't be mounted when it eats. Tested with my wyvern and barbecued brontos.

Hi Guys! So there is only one problem with the Fjordhawk… IT WILL GO BACK TO EVERY THING YOU HAVE KILLED and eat/collect it. So, if you drop it off your shoulder it will leave. And you might lose your little Fjordhawk. Hope this was helpful!

July 2, ovis work. Level their hp. Kill a small dino first to make sure tame bar goes up. After it eats the first dino you can sac a sheep. If it won't agro to the sheep, kill a small dino like a dodo then drag the sheep body over top of it. You have to be quick but it will eat the sheep.

If you're on the island Vardiland try to pull the hawk to the Avalanche, and go to town on the penguins. Ive tamed 5 hawks at high levels this way and it works. Takes about 20-25 minutes. Good luck everyone

Bigger and higher hp dinos like brontos and diplos work best for taming.kill a dino near your bird of choice and wait for it to eat the dead dino.tamed dinos seem to give less progress then wild kills.they can and will follow you a good bit after 1st kill

I would recommend using tamed Ovis as I had used 2 imprinted Ovis with 2k health and managed to tame it.

If your on a pve server (like me) you can use a fire wyvern to kill your Ovis there may be other ways but this worked for me

If you tamed like a lvl 32 it will just retrieve your longneck but not darts or ammos

It will grab loot from your dead body and bring it to you Argo at home

This a question more than a tip? What is the best stats for a hawk? Would speed help the hawk escape turrets when you accidentally fly up on some? Or would HP be better?
