Fjordur Cave at 20, 8 these things spawn at up to 280. Get a desmodus, pick up the ferox, and bring it to the indoor castle nearby. You can just cling to ceiling and come down and feed. Super easy taming on fjordur

As of 3/28/20. Ferox will tame at the wrong level but once put in cryopod will correct to tamed level. A live 145 changed to 217 once in pod post tame. Also dododex is not accurate on x3 possibly x1. The same 145 took 20 element for full tame. At 5% per element.

For tamming you can feed it the element then use the net gun as soon as it changes to hold it in place and you won't have to run around from it . When it shrinks the net dissappear and you can just repeat the process.

These things are really easy to tame in genesis 2, the hardest part of taming is finding them. All you need to do is feed them element and hover above them just out of their attack range but not too high because they will in Agro on you and run away. Up if this helped:)

Semi passive tame. Have element in your last item slot then go to use as you would any other item in your hot bar. It will then turn big and you must survive

Can confirm that you can tame the ferox if you take it out of the artifact/aberrant cave. Just tamed one last night. This applies to any dino that is tameable, inside an artifact cave, you have to take it out.

For whatever reason, Feroxes are still super buggy, and these bugs mostly show up in Single Player (SP). I’ve put 500 hours into vanilla unofficial servers and never ran into this.

On the Fjordur map in SP, you can find Feroxes spawning way past the 150 max level cap inside the Ferox cave. Take the one I just ran into for example—it was a level 280, and it was perfectly tameable.

Also in SP, there's still a chance for them to dupe mid-tame. The cloned Ferox actually keeps the taming progress, and you can just finish taming the dupe as well.

Taming non violent my ass. To tame these you have to passive tame it using element. When you feed it once you should grapple to a nearby cliff and wait for it to get all cute and cuddly again. Repeat untill its tamed. It is worth it though. When its tamed it can go on your shoulder and when you feed it element it turns into the big “thing” and it is then rideable. Females have to be at addiction level 90% to be able to mate. You get a higher addiction level everytime you feed it element. A higher addiction level requires more element everytime you want it to transform. Nothing happens when it reaches addiction level 100% it just gets some new animations and it looks hyperactive and jittery. HAVE FUN!

The sanguine elixirs are gliched for the ferox only use them when they are at 70% taming or above because when the ferox goes in big form its counted as a separate entity so you lose the 30% taming and don't get the elixir back

If you are taming it in the frozone mission cave, DONT LET IT TRANSFORM IN THE TIGHT CORRIDOR, IT WILL MESH AND GONE FOREVER.

Using a net projectil after the ferox is feed element and fully transformed will stop it for attacking you and keep it still so you do have to chase itand it still give 100%taming

For breeding only female has to be at 100% addiction. Gestation on reg official is 10 hours

sanguine elixirs can be used to tame in 14 element instead of 20. save it until they hit 70% tamed; if you use it earlier the effect is lost bc of the way the transformation is coded.
