Tips & Strategies

The sanguine elixirs are gliched for the ferox only use them when they are at 70% taming or above because when the ferox goes in big form its counted as a separate entity so you lose the 30% taming and don't get the elixir back

Fjordur Cave at 20, 8 these things spawn at up to 280. Get a desmodus, pick up the ferox, and bring it to the indoor castle nearby. You can just cling to ceiling and come down and feed. Super easy taming on fjordur
Wait until it does the little “emote” before you feed element. This will ensure you won’t lose any ele during tame. Like so people can see
Awesome tip ….. use Net gun the moment it turns ! Will keep in same spot never have to worry about it running
A easy way to tame is to feed it element when net it the second it transforms it'll transform back to normal before the net ends and just rinse and repeat
Tame these guys in fjordur as you can tame OP levels like 300!!!
Looking for a cute energetic companion? I think you found your stop! If you read this, know that everything I say, is what I recommend bringing, doing, Etc! You however can go about this however you like! All I can say is good luck. For this tame you Have to have element, if you plan on going for a high level bring at least 100 element, also consider bringing good armor, and medical brews! Be sure to bring a spare set of armor! Why? I’ll explain later in this tip, for now I’ll begin on where to find these creatures: Lost island, in the aberration cave is a spawn point, as far as I know, it has been removed, however there’s still another spawn point that I know of behind the waterfall that leads to the abberation cavern! Next spawn location: Fjordur, 28, 4. I’m pretty sure those are the coordinates, you should find a snowy cave, with a guaranteed spawn of ferox! And finnaly genisis, there spawn points vary all I can say is they spawn there :) Alright now the taming process, it’s a “passive” tame, you put element in your hot bar, then feed it to the ferox’s “addiction” then the ferox will mutate to its larger form, from then will proceed to mug you, until the element wears off, it will shrink and ask for more! However it doesn’t “have” to beat you up, you just have to survive it for a set amount of time 30 seconds or so is how long mine usually lasts. when they transform simply run in circles arround them, because of they’re bad turn rate, they are completely immobilized by doing this! The more you feed the wild ferox element, the higher % addiction it will gain, rinse and repeat until… You got yourself a ferox! What can they do? Great question! I’ll start off with they’re addiction, the higher the addiction percentage is the longer and more powerful the ferox is when it transforms, this is of course the opposite the lower it is, to feed its addiction you feed it element the way you tamed it! (To people who are scared at low addiction, 0% addiction never kills ferox, it just states it’s less powerfull!) but that’s not all it can do, when transformed regardless of your weight it will always be able to carry it, this is regulated by you not being able to acces its inventory! When it’s in its small form, it still has some abilitys! When the ferox is on your shoulder while you are walking around for a set amount of time, it will start sniffing, and start jumping, put the ferox down as it will then dig up element dust and share it with you! It does this very often! Thanks for reading and good luck survivor!
For tamming you can feed it the element then use the net gun as soon as it changes to hold it in place and you won't have to run around from it . When it shrinks the net dissappear and you can just repeat the process.
How to Tame a Baby yoda:
1. Tame a Ferox
2. Dye it light green and feed it potent dust
3. Put a snow hood on its head
4. This is the way. Hopefully this helped you find and tame baby yoda
As of 3/28/20. Ferox will tame at the wrong level but once put in cryopod will correct to tamed level. A live 145 changed to 217 once in pod post tame. Also dododex is not accurate on x3 possibly x1. The same 145 took 20 element for full tame. At 5% per element.
