Ferra’s Dream
Chapter 22
Ferra stepped up to the dinosaur gate that loomed over her. She then turned her head to look at the clear wall behind her, there were no humans there today, she sighed in relief. For a moment, she faced the dinosaur gate, then she angled herself toward the front right corner of her cage.
She exhaled a quiet shaky breath as she grasped for her element necklace, she didn’t dare take her eyes off the cage. With a quick hard yank, the element broke free from the thin rope that it was tied to. She shrugged and the rope fell to the side. She held the element tightly in her upper right hand. Don’t screw this up, she growled at herself, this is the only piece you have, you’ve got one shot. She closed her eyes and opened her small jaws as wide as they could go. She raised the element above her mouth, as she released her grip, it fell into her mouth.
In a few seconds, she became the monster she knew she was. She reached up to the tops of the cage walls and hauled herself over and out of her cage.
As her feet touched the ground, she quickly noticed the row of cages lined up along one of the walls of the human base. She ran over to the first cage and observed it. A thick wood plank that rested on two wide metal hooks, there was a hook on either door, all this held the door shut. Ferra hauled the wood plank to the side and yanked open the gate doors. Renegade looked up at her in surprise for a moment, then darted out of the cage. “Watch my back” Ferra growled in a deep rough voice.
She stomped over to the next cages to free Lynx and Rorin. Ferra opened the doors to Lynx’s cage. Lynx stood in the center of the cage, expressionlessly looking Ferra up and down. “Boo” Ferra laughed, Lynx calmly walked out of the cage.
As Ferra yanked open the last pair of gate doors, the black direwolf darted out past her without stopping to acknowledge her. She snorted and turned to face the others, the humans had begun to gather around them. She walked over to stand beside Renegade. The three of them had their fangs banged in snarls, both Lynx’s and Rorin’s fur was fluffed up.
“Let’s go!” Rorin growled. “We need to find Ally first!” Lynx hissed, her tail lashing aggressively, Renegade huffed in agreement. “Easier said than done,” Ferra warned. “Leave. The. Bird.” Rorin continued.
This one probably came out a bit short like chap 21, so sorry about that,

Ferra’s Dream
Chapter 9
One ravaged was bright red, sitting over a white one with a blue back that was laying down on the ground. There were two more ravagers, one was light brown with a dark brown back, and a dark red one with a black back. The dark red one walked off with the light brown one following. There was one more ravager, a black one with a gray back. The black one gently barked something to the bright red one. The red one, which looked a lot younger than the black one, whimpered something in return. The black one snorted, probably angry or annoyed, and walked off. Ferra stepped forward and squinted at the white one laying on the ground. She gasped with horror, the white one was dead. Ferra walked a bit closer. Her nose scrunched up at the awful smell of sickness and death coming from the white ravager. It all made sense now. The white ravager had died from sickness and the bright red one was grieving. Ferra pitied the red ravager and wanted to comfort it, but as she walked towards it, the world vanished before her.
Ferra awoke with a start. Breathing heavily, she looked around. Fenic was fully mutated, dragging a dire wolf he had killed. Ferra calmed herself and sat up. “How’d you get that in here while mutated, in fact, how’d you even get the dire wolf in here?” She asked. Fenic dropped the direwolf and turned towards Ferra.

Ferra’s Dream
Chapter 7
Ferra jumped into the water underneath the ice, her thick fur protecting her from the cold. She swam towards a hole at the bottom of the pond, then went through it. She found herself down a tunnel filled with water, after a moment, the space widened. Ferra’s head burst through the water, she inhaled the air. Ferra slowly got out of the water to look at the cave around her. This was where they met, this cave was hard to access, and there was room here for them to do whatever they wanted. Ferra saw something white emerge from a tunnel. She sat there, unalarmed. “You’re here early” she said as she turned to look at it. “Ah, well, some humans got a bit too close to where I was living, so I decided to spend the night here” it replied. “Fenic, you know you’re always welcome to stay with me”. Fenic looked at Ferra, his expression unreadable. They sat in silence for a moment, until Fenic broke it, “Well? What are you waiting for? Let’s play a game or explore the tunnels!”. Ferra sighed, she wanted to play with Fenic, but something didn’t feel right. Ferra listened to the element around her whisper and hum. She wished she could ask the element why she felt this way, as if it knew the answer. Fenic tilted his head, knowing something was wrong. Fenic turned to look at the dimly glowing walls. “You know, this place is filled with element, the call is stronger here. We could just lay here and listen to it if you want” his element necklace was glowing brighter than dimmer as if having a conversation and responding to the walls. “Y-yeah, if that’s okay with you” she stuttered awkwardly.

Ferra’s Dream
Chapter 5
Ferra grabbed the mammoth's trunk, she squeezed it, growling. She used the mammoth's trunk, and threw it, it landed a few feet away. The mammoth tried to speak or call for help or something! But it couldn’t, the breath had been knocked out of it, it laid there. Ferra walked up to it, stomping, breathing heavily. Once Ferra was only inches away from the mammoth, she raised her arm. The mammoth gasped in pain as Ferra ripped at its stomach, causing it to bleed. Over and over again, she clawed. She clawed until the mammoth was dead. A nearby argent noticed the dead mammoth and dived for it. Ferra, at the speed of lightning, grabbed the argent by the neck, stopping it mid air. Ferra slowly squeezed the argents neck, giving it a slow painful death, until she broke its neck. Ferra dropped the now limp argent next to the mammoth. Ferra stomped off, leaving the dead bodies of the mammoth and argent. Ferra walked and walked, wandering. After a while, Ferra stopped. Ferra raised her hand, then punched the ground. Half of her arm was buried. Ferra pulled her arm out of the ground, her fist clenched. She unclenched her fist, revealing some element shards. The element shards weren’t black like the large piece from earlier, they were the regular greenish-blue. Ferra quickly consumed the element shards, then went back to normal. “ughhhhhhhhh, what happened?” Ferra asked herself, the last thing she remembered going on a walk, and now, she was somewhere in the snow biome with a massive headache.
After about three hours of walking Ferra managed to make it home and was now exhausted. Ferra climbed into her hole and curled up. Not long after, the darkness of sleep took her.
Ferra opened her eyes to see a desert. She heard a squeal.

Ferra’s Dream
Chapter 26
Racheal’s head rested on the black raptor’s side. She looked over at the few tames she owned. She listened carefully to the raptor’s steady breathing as it slept. She looked up at the sky and sighed.
The tribe wanted to travel to another ark. Haroh, the tribe leader, his goal was to take over as many arks as possible. He wanted to be a king. Racheal knew this was illogical, and wouldn’t work out, but she didn’t bother to tell him. She didn’t care what he did with his tribe, she just wanted their occasional support. That was enough for her.
She remembered the ark she woke up on. She had allied with a medium-sized tribe. Their leader was a nice guy, certainly better than Haroh.
The whole tribe was curious about the arks they resided on, and they were more than happy to support her research. She herself was happy to learn about anything new, although animals interested her the most. Whenever she learned something new, she’d teach it to the tribe members, who were equally happy to learn.
After a while, she noticed something about the tamed animals. She realized that If she paid attention, she’d noticed that some of the tames were not happy with being tamed. She didn’t really see why they would be. From the way they acted, and the way they moved, she could tell roughly what they were feeling. She noticed that most tames hated being tamed, some didn’t care whether they were or not, and some were happy, even excited by it. Although she thought it was awful, some of the dinos literally bred just to die, we’re excited and happy about being in the tribe. She hated it. She believed they all deserved to be free.
Eventually, she traveled with the tribe to another ark. She didn’t do much there other than study. Sometime later, her and the tribe traveled to what would be her third ark. There, the tribe was ambushed. There were few survivors, the leader failed to make it out alive.
This was the moment when she realized she couldn’t rely on the tribe anymore. Although she didn’t want to, she used the materials she had, and tamed a black raptor. She named him Dark. It took a little while, but he eventually became the type that enjoyed being tamed. Because of this, she didn’t feel as bad for taking him, and she was ashamed of herself for this.
Later on, after she had figured out how to sustain and protect herself, she found a new tribe to ally with. Haroh’s tribe.
Although, she didn’t have much memory of what happened after that while she was on the third ark.
All she remembered was getting two chunks of element from a tribe Haroh had temporarily allied with. One looked like any other piece of element, while the other was black with a purple aura. She knew she had studied the two pieces. Then she remembered somehow learning about a being called Rockwell. This being seemed to consider itself a god.
Racheal didn’t believe in gods, but here, she knew there were powerful creatures. These creatures were powerful enough to be considered gods, although this one seemed different. For some reason, she slightly believed this creature really was a god. She was unsure why.
By now, Racheal was on her fourth ark. She traveled here with Haroh and his tribe. Here, she had tamed a parasaur and a dodo. As usual, she felt bad about it, but as much as she wished she didn’t, she needed them. She would often take the animals’ saddles off, in an attempt to make them more comfortable. She hated having tames, but she wasn’t a skilled fighter or crafter, and she relied on them in order to survive.
Racheal stood up. Dark began to stir as he noticed her movement. Dark stood next to her and shook his head sleepily. Racheal whistled in her parasaur direction, and then the dodos. The two of them got up and walked over to her and Dark. Racheal sighed, then smiled.
“I’m leaving this ark, I won’t make you come with me” she told them. They made no effort to acknowledge her promise.
Racheal looked at the parasaur and lifted up her arm for a moment, showing the mysterious diamond implant that resided in her arm. She then faced the dodo and did the same thing. She stepped away from the two of them. “You’re free,” she muttered.
The parasaur just looked at her for a moment. It suddenly honked and she watched as it ran off in the opposite direction, constantly looking back in fear.
The dodo glanced at the parasaur. The dodo began to waddle away as fast as it could, squawking eagerly until it was out of sight.

To be honest, I don’t like doing Dr.R’s pov. We’re in the 20’s now ;-;
Ferra’s Dream
Chapter 20
Dr. R walked briskly down the hallway, a scientist on either side of her. “This is the best prototype yet!” The one on her left exclaimed “This one is perfect! I can’t think of any way for it to be better” Dr. R laughed, “This isn’t a prototype, it’s the final project, and as much as you think it is, it’s not perfect, nothing is.”
They walked in silence to the viewing room, where all the caged animals could be seen through strong glass windows. Dr. R took a step forward onto the metal platform. She looked through the first window, at the small fluffy ferox. She watched as the ferox scarfed down some meat in a pile in the corner of the cage. Dr. R sighed as she remembered the ferox’s name “Ferra” she muttered, but today, today wasn’t about the ferox.
Recently, they had found an argentavis curiously flying around the front side of the base, a beautifully colored one at that. The argentavis was so abnormally…passive. Because of this, security had easily put it in a trap. Once the Argentavis had been caught, it started to panic, that’s when the others came. A thylacoleo ran up from nowhere and jumped on top of the trap. It had hissed and growled at the people standing around the cage. Meanwhile, a ravager and a direwolf had been attacking the trap from the other side.
The fact that these three had all arrived at the same time was rather odd, could they have formed some sort of pack? Thylacoleos are independent creatures. They only occasionally come together temporarily to raise cubs. Sometimes mates will stay together even after their cub or cubs have left, if two cubs are born in a litter they will sometimes stay together as well. Direwolves and ravagers are both pack animals, they hardly ever separate from their packs. The only reason one wouldn’t have a pack is if something happened to the rest of their pack, leaving them as the only one left. There aren’t ravagers in this world, how was this one even here? Had some tribe brought it with them? Dr. R had only ever seen one once, in another world she had been to. The fact that these three, four including the argent, were here together gave her many questions.
someone handed her the communication device. She looked down at the small metal earpiece with a single glowing blue dot that lay in her hand. It was a lot smaller than the original prototype, which had been a hulking headset. The original prototype had required both communicators to have a device of some sort.
Four other scientists stood on the metal platform with her. There was a bar on either side of the platform so people could hold on, a lever was next to one of the bars. The room was rather long, the metal platform was so they could go to the end and back faster, it also helped with moving the equipment throughout the room.
She nodded to the scientist closest to the lever. He pulled the lever and the platform started moving to the right at a steady pace. “Take us to the thyla” Dr. R ordered, the metal platform started to move a bit faster “I want to try to talk to all three of them at once” she explained as the platform came to a stop in front of a window.
She stepped off the platform and walked towards the window, stopping a few feet away from it. Some scientist came and set up two Ipad sized screens on stands right up against the glass. She stood in front of the screens, looming over them. She looked down at the image of the ravager on the left screen, then at the one of the direwolf on the right. She looked up at the thyla pacing in its cage on the other side of the glass. She put the earpiece in her left ear. Everyone went quiet so she could focus and hear the responses of the animals.
“Hello” she muttered, thyla’s head perked up “Did you guys hear that?” The thyla hissed. Dr. R smiled briefly “everything’s working so far” she told the other scientists in a hushed voice. She looked down at the screens, “I think so” the ravager barked. She turned to look at the screen with the direwolf. The direwolf was laying down with its back up against the left wall of the cage looking…grumpy. “Rorin” the thyla growled “did you hear it or not?” The direwolf put his paws over his face “You’re all delusional” he snorted. The thyla sighed in annoyance.
Dr. R moved her arm backward and signaled for someone to come here, One of the scientists walked over to her. Dr. R leaned over and muttered to the scientist “I think the direwolves name is Rorin” the scientist nodded, scribbled something on her clipboard, and backed away.
“Can you understand me?” Dr. R asked just to be sure. The thyla looked down for a moment before responding “Yes” it growled “who are you?!” Dr. R heard a faint laugh come from somewhere further away. “Did you find the disembodied voice?” It chirped. “You know it?” The thyla hissed.

Ferra’s Dream
Chapter 6
Ferra opened her eyes to see a desert. She heard a squeal. She turned around and saw a small black wolf, along with two other wolves the same size. Ferra started to walk towards them. The two bigger wolves were looming over the small black one, it wasn’t that old. One of them, the male, was dark grey colored, like the clouds before a storm, the other, was female, white and fluffy. The grey one and the white one argued. About what? The smaller one? After about a minute of arguing the grey one walked up and grabbed the little black one by the scruff. The grey one stomped off with the pup in its jaws, the white one slowly followed. Where were they going? Ferra looked at the white one. It was rather fat. Could the white one be on the verge of having pups? Ferra ran to follow the wolves, but she didn’t seem to move. Ferra’s legs were moving, but she wasn’t going anywhere.
Ferra jolted awake. She sighed. It was just another dream, yet, they felt so real. The dream didn’t matter, why should it? It was just a dream, and besides, today she was going to meet Fenic. Ferra climbed out of her hole and looked at the land below the cliff. It was thick and white, it probably snowed last night. Ferra half climbed half slid down. Once at the bottom she turned left.
Ferra walked for a while, until she reached the spot. Most would wonder why someone would want to meet here, it’s a wide open space with no shelter, predators could come at any moment. Of course, this wasn’t were she was meeting, this would be a stupid place to meet. Ferra walked over to a dip in the snow, in the center, the snow was shoved around, revealing a thin layer of ice. This was the little pond, but it was always frozen over. Ferra lifted her arm and punched the ice, it shattered.

Ferra’s Dream
Chapter 4
Ferra awoke. She looked around frantically. She was in her hole, no longer surrounded by giant redwood trees, just dirt walls. Ferra sighed. Maybe she was spending too much time alone. Ferra shook her light pink and white fur and got up. Ferra walked out of her hole. It was cold as usual, but Ferra didn’t mind, she never did. Ferra walked for a while. She passed several other creatures, Daedons, mammoths, dire wolves, and more. Most animals knew by now, don’t mess with a ferox, but only a few of the animals had even seen her. Most were busy fighting, or they just couldn’t see her because of her light colored coat. Ferra walked past a blackened tree, it was as if it had been burned. Her ear twitched, she turned her head. A purple light swirled in her eyes for a second. She ran over to a thick patch of snow, her legs almost completely sinking into it. She dug, and dug. Deeper and deeper. A mammoth walked by “what are you doing little one?” It asked, with a hint of nervousness. Ferra only grunted. “do you need help?” Offered the mammoth. “I can do it on my own'' Ferra replied rudely, not even turning to look at the mammoth. “are you sur-'' the mammoth was cut off by Ferra before it could finish its sentence “There it is!” Ferra shouted. She ripped a large piece of element out of the ground, there was something wrong with it though. The piece of element was glowing blackish-purple, usually it glowed blue or white. The element was also black while normally it was blueish-green. “what is that?!” Asked the mammoth, disgusted. Ferra’s back was still toward the mammoth. Ferra growled, her body started to increase in size, she became more muscular, she became mutated. Ferra turned to the mammoth, her eyes glowing. Ferra roared.

Found a cave that had 3 of these guys 2 were lvl 40, and one was lvl 280. One got mad after I killed a wolf so I had to eliminate it. The others ran into the water and never came out. I waited for 30 minutes. Nothing, found the lvl 40 had drowned and the 280 somehow got stuck in a wall. Unfortunately I couldn't tame it so I had to kill it. T_T
So before the patch to fix the berry tame bug I decided to try and take a few before it happened. I managed to tame 3 but was quickly reminded of why not to push your luck. 3 of them run up to me (I put my others in cryopods) I got happy and started knocking them out when one of them just shapeshifted I ran out of there but it quickly caught up to me and killed me. Needless to say I lost the 3 Ferox I tamed and all of my loot
I thought this chapter was gonna end up being delayed but I’m only a day behind so that’s good.
Ferra’s Dream
Chapter 14
Dr. R stared at the beautiful ferox on the other side of the glass. The ferox species has a peculiar connection with the element, allowing them to control and channel the mutation and power given to them. She hoped the ferox’s connection would increase the chances of the project being a success. Although this factor made Dr. R hopeful, she wasn’t even sure if the success of this project was even accomplishable. Dr. R, not moving her gaze away from the ferox, waved her hand to one of the other scientists behind her, at this point, they were basically just her assistants. “Bring me the headset” she ordered. One of them, she didn’t see who, dropped the rather large headset in her waiting hand. “Careful!” She warned, not wanting them to damage the fragile prototype. “The communication chip was attached to the specimen’s ear three days ago while it slept. Another specimen arrived yesterday, although the chip is not ready for experimentation.” Informed one of the scientists. Dr. R squinted her eyes at the chip hanging from the ferox’s ear on the other side of the glass, much like an earring. Here in this primitive world, earrings were a luxury no one had, everything seemed to be a risk to have in this world. The ferox sniffed at the stone walls surrounding it, perhaps looking for a way out. Dr. R gently put on the headset, tilting the mic towards her mouth. “Ready” she stated as a click sounded in her ear. A static noise could now be heard vibrating from the headset, signaling it was on. “Hello?” She uttered into the mic. The ferox’s ears and head suddenly perked up. It looked left, then right. “Wh- th-'' she heard a voice say from the headset, cutting in and out. She gasped. It works! It really works! She slowly removed the headset. The scientists behind her held their breaths, the sound of silence gripping the room. She held the headset in her hands, letting them sit and wait, she held the suspense before quickly turning to face them. “Did it work?” Asked a girl with curly brown hair. Dr. R dropped the headset in the girl's hands. “The connection needs to be strengthened. Too much static, you can barely hear anything. We also need to work on a smaller model. Some kind of earpiece preferably. Go ahead and make more chips, I have a feeling we’ll be needing them. When we have more readied specimens, we need to run a test. I want this project to be able to allow you to communicate with multiple species” she ordered. Everyone stood there for a moment, shocked and confused. “We’ll don’t just stand there! What are you waiting for?! The ferox to come and eat you?! Get to work!” She yelled. The scientists quickly turned and headed down the hall toward the lab. She followed behind them to the lab, once there, they split up into the six sections that made up the lab. Instead of following them, she left the lab through the other door on the far right. She walked down the hall until she reached the sleeping hall, the place where everyone slept. She walked through the door, then walked past bunk bed after bunk bed. She walked until she started to pass nicer beds, no longer bunk beds, signaling she had reached the upper class area. She walked toward a set of stairs in the middle of the room, she walked up the stairs and came to a passcode locked door. Quickly, she entered the password and opened the door. She was now in a large room with one wall being completely glass, overlooking the specimen containment area. Here, there was a twin size bed, a desk, and a few other things, but there wasn’t much, the room was rather empty. She collapsed onto the bed. she flopped over to where she faced the ceiling.
Hope you guys enjoyed seeing from Dr. R’s pov, I think at least half of the next chap will be her pov too.

A random tale (based on a true story)
I’m one of those people who use mods. Nothing too much, just S+, Better Dinos, and Awesome spyglass. Well, I was trying to breed my ferox, and was transforming all my females so that I could get them to the needed amount of addiction. Well, I had forgotten to convert one of them into BD before giving it element, and it looked kinda scuffed, so I figured converting it to BD would fix it. I opened the wheel and held my mouse on the green option/button/thing...
And my Ferox turned into a Deinonychus.
The End
Ferra’s Dream
Chapter 11
Fenic looked at her for a moment, thoughtful, then shook his head “I’m sure. I wouldn’t want to extrude on your space anyway. Plus, I’ve got everything I need here” Ferra nodded “alright. But my cave is always open if you need it” she said before diving into the water. The surface of the little pond had frozen over again, she would have to break it again if she wanted to get out. Ferra swam back, the forwards, faster. She slammed her head into the ice, once, then twice, the ice shattered. She hauled herself out of the water and onto the ice. Ferra stood up and shook her wet fur out, droplets of water sprayed everywhere. She was about to head home, when her ears perked. She turned the opposite way home and started to walk. She seemed focused on something, her pace quickly changed from walking, to jogging, to running. She had been going for maybe an hour when she stopped. She clawed at the snow, although she didn’t have to dig
deep. She pulled out a black piece of element with a purple glow. She ate the odd piece of element without hesitation, then continued to run but at an even faster pace, tearing through trees.
A human waited in front of a giant stone base, it didn’t flinch as Ferra abruptly stopped in front of it, nearly touching. Although the base was made of stone, it had many machines powered by generators, this place was much more advanced than most of the human bases she’d seen before. The human was female, she wore fur boots, fur pants, chitin gloves, and a chitin chestplate, she wore simple glasses and had dark, black hair. The woman stroked the fur in between Ferra’s glowing purple eyes, Ferra didn’t flinch. The human briefly looked Ferra up and down, observing her white and pale pink fur. “You’re a pretty one aren’t you?” the human stated. The human started to walk, Ferra followed.

Ferra’s Dream
Chapter 10
“I was wandering around the caves and I came across some boulders. I decided to mutate, then move the boulders. There was a big enough entrance for me to leave while mutated. I went out, grabbed some food, came back, put the boulders back, and came in here.” Ferra sat there, thoughtful for a moment. You know, I just realized, Fenic’s voice is deeper than usual, does my voice get deeper when I mutate? Ferra got up and walked towards the wall, She started to scratch at the wall. Ferra felt it as Fenic walked up, his heavy footsteps shaking the ground. “Let me do it,” he offered. Ferra sighed, she wanted to do it on her own, but it was hard, and Fenic could do it quickly and easily. She stepped aside allowing Fenic to step forward. Fenic made a fist and pulled back his top left arm, then punched the wall. A cloud of dust rose up, blocking their view for a moment, then started to dissipate. The cloud of dust revealed a hole. Within the hole were fragments of glowing element. Fenic lowered his lower right arm, Ferra climbed into Fenic’s palm. He raised Ferra up so she could reach the hole. She jumped out of Fenic’s hand and into the hole. Ferra quickly gathered up the element fragments and jumped out of the hole. Fenic watched as Ferra quickly devoured the element and mutated. Ferra turned to look at Fenic, “shall we eat?” She asked, nodding towards the dire wolf. “We shall” he laughed as the two of them walked to the dire wolf together.
“Are you sure you don’t want to stay with me?” Asked Ferra.

This is for those of you that still read my boring old stories
Ferra’s Dream
Chapter 29
She shifted her gaze to the battle. Two men lay on the ground, it was impossible to tell from here if they were dead or unconscious. A yuty roared from somewhere amidst the battle. One of the Rex’s with a rider was steered away until it stood directly facing the megapithicus’s back. The rex bent its head down, and its rider directed it to ram its head into the megapithicus’s back. This knocked the megapithecus into the other rexs. One of the rexs quickly clasped the megapithicus’s throat in its jaws. The megapithecus struggled as it weakly tried to pull the jaws off its neck. Alas, the rex bit down harder, killing the megapithecus. The rex let go, its jaws dripping with blood. The megapithicus’s lifeless body fell to the ground. Haroh laughed, the megapithecus had been slain at his army's hand.
Racheal pulled on her yutys reigns and calmly walked it over to one of the unconscious men who lay silently on the ground. By now, the gigantopithecus had seemingly disappeared and it was safe for her to dismount. She got off the yuty and walked towards the man who was only a few steps away. She turned over his wrist to see his implant. The small blue diamond no longer glowed blue. It now was gray and dim, signifying that this man was dead.
The rest of the group had walked off by now, in search of the broodmother, but one man and the rex he’d been riding had stayed behind. The man crouched down next to the other limp soldier, checking if he was dead or not. The man looked down at the soldier's wrist. The Implant dimly glowed. Racheal walked over to him. “What are you gonna do with him?” She asked. He huffed, “I’ll try and wake him up, if that doesn’t work, I’ll put him on my mount with me, but there’s no guarantee that he won’t fall off and get killed.” He suddenly slapped the unconscious soldier. The soldier sat up with a start before falling back with a groan. The soldier clutched his chest “I think I broke some ribs…” he muttered. Racheal looked at him, “Doesn’t matter, you can still ride a Rex.” She paused for a moment “Unless you want to end up like him. She briefly tilted her head toward the mutilated corpse of what once was a man, ripped apart by gigantopithecus. The soldier shivered, and quickly shoved himself up, still gripping his chest. He stumbled off in the direction the others had gone. The other man climbed back on his mount and followed. After a moment of thought, she climbed onto Fortis’ back.
Fortis ran to catch up with the others, Racheal sat on the saddle guiding him along with the reins. They slowed only when the group came into sight. They were already fighting the broodmother. Green goop-like blood covered the ground. The large arachnid hissed viciously, but no one was intimidated. After one last final hit, the broodmother crippled to the ground, easily defeated by the horde of rexes who had barely suffered a scratch. The broodmother was definitely a lot weaker than the megapithecus.
All the men cheered, happy to still be alive. Racheal steered Fortis to the edge of the land they stood on. She leaned over, sitting on the edge of the saddle, she looked over at the islands below her. She gazed in awe, as she stared down at the place she currently called home. A bright light suddenly disturbed her view. She tried to look away, but it surrounded her. She couldn’t see anything through the bright blinding light. The light was the last thing she saw
Ferra blinked. She did it know where she was, or who she was. A red ravager barked at her. She didn’t listen. She was surrounded by humans, animals too. There was a thyla standing next to the ravager, it’s fur bristling. On the other side of her, was a black direwolf who bared its teeth with no apparent fear. She blinked, and suddenly a fight had broken out.
I really hope y’all enjoyed this one, although I think the next one will be even better.

Ferra’s Dream
Chapter 24
Ferra looked up, the sound of others waking disturbing her thoughts. She snorted, her brothers were still asleep, as usual.
Suddenly, the element seer, Tagulavai, ran up to the waking groups of ferox. Element seers where very rare. They can mutate like any other ferox, but sometimes when they sleep, the element gives them visions of the past. Some feroxs thought the seers should be respected and listened to, others thought it was all a bunch of compy dung. Those ferox tended to think Tagulavai was crazy.
When she was younger, Ferra thought it might be fun to be a seer. With some more thought, she realized seeing the past was probably not as fun as she thought it’d be, she also didn’t want to be called crazy.
“Are Nuli and her siblings back yet?” Tagulavai asked worriedly. A female shook her head, “No” she looked concerned “Why do you ask?” Tagulavai shivered “I-I had a vision! There’s- There's this… creature kidnapping animals near where they’re hunting!”
Ferra looked around as hushed whispers passed through the colony. Her brother who was only a few seconds younger than her, leaned toward her. She jumped as he did, slightly surprised that he was awake. “Nothing kidnaps animals, right? Other than humans.” Her brother Puliki whispered to her. Ferra glanced at him “I guess not” she replied, not really sure. Puliki huffed “I think Tagulavai has gone mad” Ferra flicked his ear with her tail “Don’t be mean” she smiled playfully at him, he smiled back.
“Was this a vision of today?” She noticed it was her father who asked the question. Tagulavai jumped, he seemed unsettled. “Y-yes. Someone needs to bring them back before that- that thing gets them!” His voice was higher pitched as he squeaked his concern.
The whispering began again. Ferra’s stomach clenched. Why isn’t anyone doing anything? Visions of the present day were rare, usually they were visions of the week or month before.
Everything went quiet as Nuli walked up with her brothers Kola and Holutaku. “What’s going on?” Kola asked. A ferox cub bounced up to them. “Tagulavai had a vision!” It squeaked “A vision about a monster that takes creatures away!” The cub's mother quickly came and dragged it away. Ferra watched the scene from a distance. “A vision?” Nuli repeated curiously.
Ferra idled Nuli. Nuli and her siblings were the only other set of triplets in the colony, and everyone loved Nuli. She was polite, she was good at hunting, and so much more. No one had ever found a reason to dislike her. Ferra wanted to be like that, but she didn’t know how.
Skadd approached the group of ferox surrounding Tagulavai. “See Tagulavai? They’re fine.” Skadd looked at Nuli “Did you see anything that looked out of place? Or that was… kidnapping animals?” Nuli shook her head “Nothing like that, although it was quiet today, not much to hunt.” Skadd snorted and looked back at Tagulavai. “There’s nothing to be worried about, it was just a regular ol’ nightmare. Now why don’t you rest n’ find something to eat?” Skadd grumbled before walking off. Tagulavai jumped forward “But I’m sure-“ Tagulavai stood there with his mouth open, Skadd ignored him and continued walking. The last of the ferox dispersed to find something better to do.
Ferra stayed where she was. “I don’t think Nuli and the others brought anything back,” She muttered. “You wanna play tag or something?” Puliki bounced excitedly. They were a bit too old to play games, but Puliki still liked to play them, and Ferra didn’t mind. She actually found relief in her brother's games, it allowed her to forget the things that troubled her.
Ferra looked at him and shook her head. “Not right now, I don’t think the others brought back anything, I’m going to go out and try to find some food” Ferra replied. Puliki sighed “You’re always hunting or busy or something.” Suddenly he had a certain glint in his eye “Why don’t I come with you? Tahikoiki could come too!” He suggested. “Alright, fine. Go find Tahi” Ferra replied. He nodded with a smile and darted off to find Tahi.
Ferra turned around and saw Tagulavai sitting all alone, pawing miserably at the snow. She shook her head. I'm definitely glad I’m not an element seer. She thought to herself, feeling bad for Tagulavai.
“Ferra! I found him!” Puliki called from behind her. She stood up and watched while her brothers walked up to her. Her brothers looked somewhat similar, similar enough that she got them mixed up sometimes. Puliki was a reddish brown, the fur down his back was blonde, his stomach was white and his eyes were blue like hers. Tahikoiki went by Tahi for short. He was also a reddish brown, the fur on his back was once dark brown, but now it was brown fading to gray. His stomach was a dirty blond and he had amber eyes.
Finally, I got to introduce Ferra’s brothers.
