1: Spawn NE Highlands Ragnarok

2: Follow river and get crystal for spyglass and some rockarrot(it grows wild here)

3: Use spyglass to look for more rockarrot and a decent level equus

4: Make sure there is no Allos or Gigas around

5: Sprint from behind your chosen Equus, and quickly mash E twice(Make sure rockarrot is actually in your last hot bar slot!

6: There is not point in looking anywhere except in the bottom right, you can’t control where it goes so concentrate on getting it tamed. If it is going to take you somewhere dangerous and you don’t want to risk it then you can always jump off manually.

An absolutely perfect first tame for Ragnarok for very little effort. Gathers berries, fast and good stamina drain, it’s buck attack with some points in melee(helps berry gathering also!) will suffice for knocking out many different dinos(I actually use it to hunt). Once you hit about 500% melee you can stop, then it’s probably best to level some health/weight.

F’n tried to tame one in the middle of a raptor pack there were like 100 raptors I’m not getting my stuff back

Try to use a bola when taming this creature it helps but not when a rex is chasing you around the island.

They knock me out every time and then run away!!

In genesis, tame it away from areas were avalenches happen, as if it even touches it the taming progress will be reset

Sneak up behind it in order to tame easier.

You have to be level 10+ to tame one of these bad boys.

Argi actually CAN catch this horse with its claws.

You need to sneak up behind them in order to feed them. Make sure the food is on the last item slot on your hotbar.

When taming these guys make sure you demolish any spike walls you have around. Had a few 80% tamed then they ran straight into the 1 spike wall around & I read “Your tribe has killed a lvl 70 Equus!" :X

You don't need to ride them. I was able to bola them and place four stone Dino gates around it. Once it calms down, it'll walk around and its head phases through the door. Feed and wait.

I think there should be a unicorn varient on Dododex. I'm currently breeding unicorns and it seems to be a little different then the equus.

The best way to tame this horse is to run quickly to it, bola it and then build up a taming-chamber with dinogates (must not be behemoth). Then its a freetame because the only dificulty with this tame (that the horse runnes across the map) is deleted.

Trodoon or rockarrot in last slot of inventory quick bar approach from behind press Y to ride take note in bottom left corner it will tell when to feed and your taming progression the horse will run wild DO NOT TOUCH ANY BUTTON while taming it will be reduced and you get kicked hope this helps
