How to tame first build a 1 by 1 stone foundation cover it with doorframes use argie to drop it in use ghillie gear sneak to it feed equss carrot sneak away exit come back in and keep doing it like if it helps

My true story. 14 February 2022:

1st try: kidnapped a lvl 70 with my Argen. Turn on the pursuit quest & tried to tame it with Rockcarrots... Every carrot nets you 1.5%. it took so long that i failed on 41%... So angry. Killed that horse.

2nd try: open Dododex, ride my Argen to gather Dilos egg for kibble... Manage to find 12. Make the kibble, look for low lvl horse... Found lvl 10. Kidnapped, turn on the pursuit, feed it kibble... Since lvl 70 need around 8 kibbles, i assume lvl 10 need 3-5 max... Feed the horse all 12 kibbles, the bar still on 14%... No matter if it kibble or carrot, it's the same 1.5%...

In panic, tried to open inventory to put carrot on hotkey to feed... Cannot open inventory... Failed 3x, killed that horse.

3rd try: new day, new beginning. Went out with my Argen, encounter a lvl 90 horse. Beautiful horse, the skin is red with golden marking on zebra pattern & golden legs... Kidnapped it, turn on the pursuit with ALL hotkey as carrots.

67% at nighttime, failed due to wild Raptor... Horse killed, killed that Raptor.

4th try: Sunday afternoon. Went to local gym... Take a dip in cold pool, log in to ark, encounter lvl 75 horse. Plain white with gold marking & golden legs, absolutely gorgeous... walk out from pool, drink 2 cans of redbulls, proceed to enter sauna. Tame it with absolute concentration IN sauna.

Named it Yakiniku, gonna leave it at base till kingdoms come. Hate! Horse!

I'm trying to tame 1 I'm using a taming pen but it won't tame and my ptera isnt laying eggs for simple kibble y won't my ptera lay an egg

I can’t ever find an equus. I found one, and it ran away and I couldn’t ever find it again. And I don’t know where to go, where do they spawn because I can’t find any! Any answers for this?

It took me a hour just to tame it bruh it tooks me 40 rockcarrot to tame it.i name it yaya LOl

You should just give them food, and mount, and whenever they start kicking, u Feed them again

You will need about 20 rockocarrots to tame because it will knock you off

You must press E when it wants to drop you off.

I built a pen two walls high, out of 16 walls on top of fence foundations. One wall a walk through door. So two by two. Put on my ghillie suit, grabbed a level fifty 2.7 x with my argy, dropped it in the pen. Then I squatted outside the door a fed it rockcarrots. Couldn't have been easier unless I used kibble. I tamed one before by the riding it and that gave me high blood pressure. My phone barely has enough processor and RAM to play ARK at all so the pen was way easier. Hope you have good luck.

To anyone who tries to tame an equus beware. They are painful to tame!

I just tamed a stego, so get plenty of carrots while trained him, just before found the horse glitches on rocks...😅😅😅😅

Do the parana presout get southing balm and start equus presout but before u start make sour to clear the area

Someone pls respond ASAP. I’m on mobile, attempting to tame an Equus. I got on my Argy and dropped him into a small metal taming pen that I built on my Solo Player World. I look away for a second, look back, and he’s high-booking it outta there. I’ve checked over and over again for glitches or holes in the pen. Found none. I’ve gotten another Equus in my custody, Someone pls explain what I should do... 😔

So I just realized a glitch in the game on mobile... So, when taming the Equus make sure you feed it a rock carrot before you jump on it’s back. Otherwise, if you just jump on him, the taming bar will go up only a small amount 😳

Equus isn’t listed on the preferred by list of their favorite kibble

Ok so try this, ride a flying Dino of some sort, scare the equus away from predators while on flying Dino, scare equus into corner and mount it and tame, once tamed run like hell to a safe place. Hope this helps, and have fun Equus are awesome :)

I found my Equus in the plains by the redwoods. (55, 25 ish). In the past few days, I’ve seen several in the southeastern rivers. Here’s some tips, orrr the entire process...

1 - Build a taming pen if you do not already have one, make sure the walls are high.

2 - Tame an Argentavis if you don’t already have one, don’t try this unless you’re a high enough level to get a saddle for it. An Argy can provide transportation, AND carry the Equus to the taming pen. If you are a lower level, spawn near one of those points up there ^^.

3 - Find the Equus. Few are located near the green obelisk, as well as the points at the top. The rivers are your best bet. Grab the Equus/Mount it. Bring your Equus to the taming pen.

4 - I suggest saving up amber for chef station and making dilo kibble, but you can use rockarrots and berries. (10 dilo kibble - lvl 1) (20+ rockarrots - lvl 1) (1000+ berries? - lvl 1)

5 - When you have food, mount the equus and feed it quickly. Continue. Equus is yours!

1: Spawn NE Highlands Ragnarok

2: Follow river and get crystal for spyglass and some rockarrot(it grows wild here)

3: Use spyglass to look for more rockarrot and a decent level equus

4: Make sure there is no Allos or Gigas around

5: Sprint from behind your chosen Equus, and quickly mash E twice(Make sure rockarrot is actually in your last hot bar slot!

6: There is not point in looking anywhere except in the bottom right, you can’t control where it goes so concentrate on getting it tamed. If it is going to take you somewhere dangerous and you don’t want to risk it then you can always jump off manually.

An absolutely perfect first tame for Ragnarok for very little effort. Gathers berries, fast and good stamina drain, it’s buck attack with some points in melee(helps berry gathering also!) will suffice for knocking out many different dinos(I actually use it to hunt). Once you hit about 500% melee you can stop, then it’s probably best to level some health/weight.

F’n tried to tame one in the middle of a raptor pack there were like 100 raptors I’m not getting my stuff back

Try to use a bola when taming this creature it helps but not when a rex is chasing you around the island.
