Stories Tips

What are some stories about the equus? Memorable equus stories, wild encounters, and fan fiction.
SOOO lol I tamed a pack of equis’ then suddenly a friking giga came out of no where! I hoped in the only den ran away as I watched my naked get destroyed in front of me dissing even get to breed them yet so I just yeeted my self to my base and cried. Rip zeeb jack and bob you will be remembered
Those things ARE ANNOYING to tame (ark mobile)
First u have to grind to get like 50 rock carrots to tame it which is rare or u farm it which is just annoying THEN u gotta find one which is SO HARD once u finally found one A GOD DAMN LIKE RAPTOR OR ALLO JUST KILLS IT if u manage to find one that doesn’t die yay.next u have to sneak up on it easy then for like 10 minutes ur characters just rides around on the it and if u don’t feed it for like 2 seconds it will chuck u off and sprint away into SOME LOVELY MEGS if u some how tame one it has such LOW HEALTH
I usually play on mobile and I usually find them in the bottom right corner of the map not on the island in the middle of the ocean though but I’m really bad at taking them I usually try and go for a high level but it never works and I don’t know how to make kibble so help is for sure needed IMAO
In name suggestions, I love that someone put Epona for a name, love the Zelda reference. Epona has been in Zelda since oot (ocarina of time) to tp (twilight princess), and you can get it in botw (breath of the wild) with the Epona Amiibo, but like every other horse, you have to tame her first (I know this from a video, shout-out to Zelda master!)
I came across one when I was looking for a equus at the start of a new server I started playing. I tamed it and rode it straight into the redwoods. Big mistake. A microraptor kicked me off and killed me, and as I was coming back it was killed by a terror bird. Never bring them into the redwoods actually, never go to the redwoods. The entire place is a living hell.
I'm going to take a short* break from Night-Mare. I still need to finish posting my other story, and I have to write what comes next in this one. I really have no ideas, so if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

*I say short, but it may end up being long, just depends on how long it takes me to get it together.
Hello guys! I wasn’t sure which page to put this on, but I am writing a book. Like, its 60 pages so far… but its about dinosaurs. Its called, The Lands of Skiouro. It features two girls stranded on an island inhabited by all kinds of dinosaurs. They fight for survival, and meet some friends on the way. Im very excited and I would like to publish it when it finishes. Heres a bit of it….
“Goodnight Emma.” Mumbled Sarah from her bed to her half asleep sister. Their tranquil room with a warm glowing night-light seemed to make everything better. Slowly Sarah drifted off to sleep and hugged her blankets close absorbing the comfort and heat.
A slow peaceful snore drifted through the woods and soon Sarah couldn’t take it. “EMMA. SLEEP. NOW. PLEASE.” She rolled over to scowl at her, but she saw was a mossy tree root protruding from the earth and diving again, hiding back into the ground and she trembled foot to toe with fear. She flipped over on the rigid ground and to her relief a sleeping figure of her sister lay there. “Emma!” She scrambled onto her feet and shook her rapidly. “Yeesh, ok ok, what is-“ Her eyes widened and her mouth hung open as she stared incredulously at the thick canopy of trees obstructing the sunlight trying to squirm through.
“Sarah, now say it slow, where are we.” Emma said with her serious tone. “I have no idea! I thought you would know, like it was some prank from Mom and Dad!” Emma dismissed the forest around them and said “Hm, I dunno Sarah, this doesn’t look like a prank!” “YOUR the older sister! YOU should know what to do!” Squeaked Sarah, a tear sliding down her cheek and her face flushed red. SQUAWK! SQUAWK! “Did you hear that?” Asked Emma completely turning from the problem, alert to the strange sounds. “Oh no- its totally gonna eat us! EMMA SHIELD ME-“ “Wait Sarah, its just a chicken..” Emma said her tension blown away. “YOU CAN CALL ME CHICKEN BUT ILL BE LAUGHING WHEN YOUR IN ITS STOMACH!” Yelled Sarah averting her eyes and hunched behind a tree. Emma gasped and her body shook No, No, this is going to be some hilarious joke and its gonna be some video Mom and Dad laugh about years after- it cant be… “A dodo bird.” Breathed Emma astonished. “Sarah- this place just got ten times weirder.”
So uhm, thank-you for reading this little bit of it, I may post more every once in a while. Wish me luck ;)
Night-Mare
Chapter 10
Steven crawled slowly to the parasuar in front of him. Ever since Gideon and his army of conquerors had taken hold of the hunting plains and claimed the herds for themselves, food had been scarce. The hunting plains were the only place they could find grazing herbivores, seeing as it was the only place with green grass on this Island.
The Survivor's Band had had quite a few starvation deaths in the last few days. Somehow, however, this parasaur had strayed from its herd. It wouldn't be enough to fill everyone, but if would keep them all alive a little longer.
He crept forward, his spear at the ready, and lunged. The spear stabbed into the parasaur's side, a nonfatal blow. It took off immediatly, disappearing into the dark forest. Steven gritted his teeth. It was rare to find a parasuar not under Gideon's guard. This was food he couldn't let escape. He dashed into the forest, slowing his steps as he entered to prevent making noise.
He strained his eyes to find movement in the forest. He could see a tail disappear further back. He grumbled silently and pushed on. The quiet crunch of leaves underfoot was suddenly replaced with a thud. Steven didn't have time to look down before something wrapped around his leg and jerked him upwards and hung him upside down. A trap in the forest? Was this Gideon's doing?
The rope swung slowly for a moment before dropping Steven again. His head hit a rock, strategically placed under the rope. His skull ached and he couldn't hear past the ringing in his ears. He rolled onto his back to look up at the sound of footsteps. He expected to see one of Gideon's soldiers looming over him, but instead found himself looking into the darkened hood of the figure in the black cloak.
"Horseman…" the word stumbled quietly from Steven's mouth. The horseman grabbed Steven by the shirt and yanked him to his feet.
He was close enough feel the horseman's hot breath. "Unlucky you, getting stuck here. I expected to catch one of those thickskulls on the plains, but you'll do." The horseman's voice sounded pluckier and lighter, more childlike. He was absolutely giddy.
The horseman jerked him forward, "Come on, let's go. She's been extremley restless today, she'll enjoy taking out her frustration on you." He laughed.
Steven pulled and kicked, trying to get away from him. In the struggle, the horseman's hood was thrown back. Steven froze.
"Leo?"

Night-Mare
Chapter 6
Steven strained his eyes to see through the thick foliage of the forest. Even with torches in hand, the canopy was so thickly grown that in daylight hardly anything could be seen. Now at night, it was pitch black, save for the small amount of light the torches brought. If the darkness didn't make the journey dangerous enough, Leo had informed him that a being known only as the horseman called the Night-Mare every day at noon, sending her out to hunt down unfortunate souls lost in the forest.
At the lead, Roman and another survivor were picking their way through the tangled roots burrowed in the ground. Leo was at Steven's side, dressed in a long black cloak with a hood. He held at torch ahead of him, illuminating the look of fear on his face. He looked even more reptile-like here, the darkness playing with the features of his face, making him look like a creature that naturally resided in the dark.
Roman payed close attention to the ground, following the tracks left behind by Elliott. Steven didn't know what this lantern business was about, but it seemed important, and he was determined to prove himself. Leo had practically begged him not to come, which only made Steven want to go more.
Roman signaled ahead and turned right sharply. He signed a few things to them. Leo and the other survivor nodded and moved forward slowly. Steven made a mental note to himself: learn sign language. He followed Roman's lead and looked around, being stopped suddenly as Leo held out an arm. Steven followed his gaze towards the disfigured body of a man on the ground. Poor Elliott.
Steven felt bile rising in his throat. Elliott's face was frozen in a look of shock. His torso was completely flattened. The whole scene was a bloody mess. Roman inspected the body and looked around before turning to Leo, mouthing the words he signed: No lantern.
Leo sighed and paced in panicked frustration. He turned to Roman and was about to sign something when Roman and the other survivor froze. They were staring behind Leo and Steven. Steven followed their gaze and turned around. A slick black muzzle snorted directly into Steven's face. He clenched, raising his eyes to the glowing orange globes that stared intently at him.
