The adventures of Zebra
Chapter 3
BAM BAM BAM, AHHHHHHHH, KABOOM, Zebra woke up suddenly in the middle of the night to these noises, and they sent a shiver down his spine, fearfully, he crept up to the window and looked out, the wall had a giant hole in it and there was fire everywhere, and some of the buildings were ruins, and I the middle of it there they where, fighting against someone and their tames, he saw Robert sneak up and say "we’re being raided," he whispered "and we’re fighting the people that man who knocked you out worked for, and they’re looking for you, we need to escape!" He saw Midnight and suddenly he was flying, it was obvious, they were making a run for it, he heard a man say that the mammoth a Cocoa’s mate, Syrup, were killed by the raiders, Zebra drifted off to sleep, dreaming that he was still wild, when he woke up he was on an island, and he has in a metal base that was heavily fortified, he saw that Falcon was being cared for by two men, Zebra walked over and asked what was wrong, and he saw a giant cut in his wing, Falcon said weakly "one of the raiders had landed a blow while I has fighting, I was lucky enough to make it here, to the main base." And Zebra saw Cocoa crying, and went to the "stable", as the humans call it to rest, this was serious.
So here’s a story: As a person that rides horses, I was pumped when I found one of these. After about 12 minutes, I tamed a beautiful Equus. As I was heading back riding my pterodactyl, my equus following behind me, a freaking level 100 Carno comes up and decides “I’m about to ruin this person’s career” , kills my equus with no regrets, snaps my pterodactyls neck and tore me to pieces. From now on I will murder every single carno with no mercy in the most brutal ways possible. Rip Fred and Carol the equus and pterodactyl

Night-Mare
Chapter 8
Steven tapped his foot anxiously as he waited outside Quinn's hut. He could hear hers and Roman's voice whispering back and forth with Zoe occasionally chiming in.
"We found Elliott," said Roman. "He was killed by the Mare."
"Then it's as we feared?" asked Quinn.
There was a short pause. "The horseman had it when he found us," Roman sighed.
"He must have had the Mare follow Elliott's trail," came Zoe's voice.
"Or follow the lantern," Roman added.
Quinn spoke up again. "And Leo? Is he…"
"Gone. Taken by the horseman. We can assume the worst," said Roman.
Quinn sighed, "Well that's unfortunate. It'll hard to replace some one of his … stature."
Steven couldn't hold his anticipation, or his anger any longer. He threw Quinn's door open. "Unfortunate? Unfortunate?!"
Roman looked like he was going to rip Steven's head of, Zoe looked purely shocked, and Quinn had a quaint smile on her face. Did she find this all amusing?
"Leo," Steven shouted, "was a man! A good man, not some tool for you to have when it's convienent!"
Roman stepped forward, fury blazing in his eyes. "You don't know anything about this. Turn around and go home."
Steven didn't back down. For once, he wasn't intimidated by Roman. "I know that people shouldn't be treated like rats. When they die, they should be mourned, not easily replaced! Or can you just not get that through your thick skull."
Without missing a beat, Roman cocked his arm and threw it into the side of Steven's face. Steven could hear the crack of Roman's fist against his jaw, the thud as he hit the ground, the ringing that followed, and the hazy voices yelling at eachother. He staggered to his feet and wiped blood from his mouth.
"Don't stand up," Roman yelled at him, "Or I'll make the next one hurt!"
Against his better judgment, Steven stood again. Leo deserved to be defended, even if he wasn't here to see it. Roman launched at him, but Zoe held him back.
"Enough," shouted Quinn. She turned to Steven. "I expect better out of you Steven. You need to learn your place, and learn it quickly. Angering your tribemates will get you no where. And neither will barging into my house in the middle of a private conversation."
Roman crossed his arms and gave a smug, satisfied look. "That being said," Quinn said, turning to Roman, "Attacking our tribemates isn't the answer either." Her tone went from irritated to soft instantly. "We can't expect him to know the rules. If he's going to stay here with us, he needs to know the whole situation."
Steven crossed his arms and gave a nod, "So tell me."

Night-Mare
Chapter 7
Steven tried to run, only to be jerked back immediately. He turned his head, expecting to see the teeth of the great horse holding him back, but instead found Leo's hand gripping the back of his shirt, holding him in place. Leo didn't turn his head, but he looked at Steven out of the corner of his eye and shook his head slowly. The four of them stood there, frozen before the Night-Mare.
Steven couldn't help but wondering why she hadn't trampled one of them yet, but before he could come up with a theory, a figure dressed in a cloak like Leo's appeared out of the shadows, running one of it's gray hands along the Mare's flank. In it's left hand, it held a lantern.
"Surely," the figure said in a voice that sounded like that of a creature that could breathe fire, "you didn't think looking the part would convince her you were her master."
Though it was hard to tell because the figure's head was completely shadowed by his hood, it seemed like he was speaking to Leo. Leo didn't respond.
"You gave up that role long ago. She heeds you no longer."
The Mare brayed, stomping a hoof towards Leo. He didn't flinch, but held out a hand towards her muzzle. She shook her head before settling again. The figure lifted his head, allowing the torches to illuminate his horrific face. His skin was gray and his face was sunken. His eyes were pitch black, save for a light ring around them that glowed like the Mare's. His mouth was stretched into an unsettling smile, each tooth looked built to rip flesh from bone.
"My," he cackled. "Perhaps you still hold some power over her after all…" The smile fell slowly. "But not enough to hold her back from them," he growled. He threw a pointed finger towards Steven, Roman, and the other survivor. Immediately, the Night-Mare threw herself at the survivor, stomping him into the ground.
"Go!" Leo shouted. His feet were planted where they were.
"Come on!" Steven shouted back.
"Follow Roman!" Leo responded. He refused to move. Before Steven could run back for him, Roman pushed him forward. "Go!" Roman screamed. The Mare was still finishing off the other survivor.
They dashed through the forest, bursting from the tree line onto the sand of the beach. Steven looked back. He could only see the hooded figure staring at him from the forest before it turned and walked away. The flame of the lantern disappeared.

Hey peeps! Im gonna be starting my own explorer note series starting with the eqqus story. This is going to be the explorer note series of sir seth edmonson. He is going to be focusing mainly on how to tame the animals of the ark with some of my own fanfictional lore! Im really excited for this series to start and ill write my fanfiction right after i post this -yimmins
So I was taming one and I was in the area on ark mobile where spinos are and there was two beside me one on my left and the other on my right I only had like five rockcarrots left and a therinzino was also there in the end I tamed it but it died a little later when I went out with it and my game crashed and mega piranhas killed it……I am very angry
I saw one of theses it was orange and black I wanted to tame it but it was being attacked by a pack of raptors I can knock 1 raptor with my hands so I thought I would try to knock the pack I hit one and then they all attacked me as I watched the horse get away to a safe place I died . I fight for what is right
I got out on my pteranodon to get some bronco eggs and run and make kibble for taming a saber tooth. While I was near the swamp area I encountered 2 of them! I was so angry because I didn’t have any rockarrots or anything not meat on me I now have to go back to base and get some and check if they’ll be there or not. Wish me luck!
Night-Mare
Chapter 11
Steven broke free of Leo's hold. "Leo," he stammered. He hesitated as he looked at the monster-of-man in front of him. Part of Steven didn't want to believe it, believe that those megaladon teeth and those ink black pools he called eyes weren't Leo's. That baryonyx smile that held such charm before was nothing more than a eerie warning to beware the man that wore it. This man, a man who had been a father to Steven, used to have kindness and sincerity in his eyes. Now they held no emotion, just cold darkness like the kind brought about by a titanoboa's venom.
"Leo," the name was nothing more than a whisper escaping Steven's lips. The baryonyx smile still plastered on his face, Leo tipped his head to the side.
"It's me, Leo. It's Steven."
Leo raised his eyebrows slightly, "I know who you are," he said before shrugging and raising his eyes up to the small spears of light stabbing through the thick forest canopy. "I just don't care." He gripped Steven by his thick, black hair, pulling the distressed survivor to his feet. "Come on," Leo shouted with a giddy laugh, "Let's not keep her waiting."
Steven tried to free himself from Leo's monsterish grip in vain, but he continued to struggle as the horseman dragged him deeper into the forest. "Leo stop, we're like family," he pleaded. "You told me that. You told me I reminded you of your son."
If those words had any effect on Leo, he didn't show it. It was as if every word went in one ear and out the other. Steven continued to plead, but it wasn't long before the pain of his hair being ripped out of his head stopped. He dropped to the ground and lifted his head slowly. They were in a part of the forest where no light reached the ground. The only sign of day was the faint glint of light in the distance behind them. "Where am I?" Steven asked, trembling.

Hang on, people are actually reading Night Mare?
Uh, thank you for the compliment reader! I suppose as long as there's one person still reading, I ought to finish what I've started lol.
So, let me recap since it's been a while.
WARNING, SPOILERS FOR UP TO CHAPTER 10 OF NIGHT MARE AHEAD:
Story starts with a guy by the name of Elliot getting chased through the woods and crushed by a giant horse in the dark. (Yay, fun start. I know.) Remember this, it's important later.
So, this guy Steven woke up on an island and was found by some survivors. (One of those survivors, Leo, became Steven's friend/slash mentor right away.) He tells Steven about the dark forest and a monster horse living inside it called the Night Mare. The survivors take Steven back to base camp where he joins the Survivor's band. Fast forward a bit, Quinn, the cheif of the Survivor Band finds out that Elliot has gone missing. She tells Leo that Elliot also had the lantern (more on that in a bit.)
Leo gets really weird about the situation and has to go into the Dark Forest with Steven and two other survivors. They find Elliot's body, crushed (a trademark of the Mare) but the lantern is missing, until out of the shadows steps a mysterious figure holding the lantern. This mystery guy is the horseman, the being that guides the Night Mare to her victims. The horseman says some ominous things before sicking the Mare on one of the survivors. Leo won't leave, but tells Steven to run. After some short arguing, Steven is dragged out of the forest by the other survivor, and the last thing he sees is the horseman disappearing into the dark forest again with the lantern.
Back at camp, Quinn is upset they lost the lantern, but doesnt seem to sad about Leo's death. Steven goes ballistic over the fact she isnt treating his memory with respect and demands to know what's going on. Quinn reveals that Leo was once one of the Dead Band, a person who became lost in the Dark Forest for so long that they lost their humanity. The lantern was originally the horseman's, used to ignite the Night Mare and send her on a rampage. The survivors got it somehow (to be revealed later) and were trying to find a way to use it against the horseman and the Mare. The lantern was their only shot at stopping the Night Mare once in for all, but the horseman managed to take it back from Elliot after the Mare killed him. Steven is furious that he's been lied to but eventually moves on.
Fast forward, Steven is on a hunt alone and ends up chasing a parasaur into the Dark Forest (food is scarce, so he has no choice.) While he's in the forest, he's caught in a trap made by the horseman. The horseman arrives and in the struggle that follows, Steven pulls back his hood to reveal the horseman's face and it turns out to be Leo...
And that's where our story left off. (Hope that helped a bit.) I have written out a few more chapters I can post quickly. Next chapter: 11.

This is the story of taming a lvl 1 (yes, it’s low level, shush!) Equus on MOBILE. So, I had a pursuit/mission/quest whatever you call it about taming one of these guys. It said to bring five carrots, so I took five from my small farm and followed the arrow to the zebra looking thing. I mounted it, fed it carrots when it was hungry, and I noticed that it’s taking bar wasn’t going up much. I ran out of carrots and the bar was only at 27.3%. Next time I brought 21 carrots. The Equus ate them all and ran away again. This time I brought 57 carrots and it actually tamed. All this hard work for a lvl 1 zebra.
