It's only passive when ur riding on an ichthy and gets pissed off when u shoot it or hit it but runs away

(mobile) Interestingly once tamed they won't be targeted by wild cnidarias but do get aggro from every single other underwater creature. They're built like a slow, ponderous but heavy-hitting tank so expect them to outrun nothing but hold their ground against anything...that isn't a Tuso or alpha mosa.

I literally just grab it with a tuso took it to a safe corner and just waited took about 2 hours to find and tame 2 X versions of this

Dunkle - Dark, Osteo - Bone. That’s all.

They take the most amount of tranqs to knock out out of any aquatic knockout tame. Since the x-dunk takes %40 the damage of a regular dunk, it makes it one of the hardest things to knock out. However, it’s extremely cowardly, so if they dunks try to surround you, one tranq is always enough to send them running. Plus, plesios, megalodons, parakeet fish schools, anglers, Electrophorus, Mosas, and of you’re unlucky enough, Tusos, will come from every where and try to kill you. The only good news is, knocking it out is the only hard part. It’s a very quick tame afterwards, and doesn’t require any narcs most of the time. Stil, the x-dunk is one of the hardest things to knock out in the game lol.

So I seen one for the first time and they r way way bigger then I thought lol I really thought they was small or medium sizes for the longest time ... But no they are huge lmao

I have a 200+ melee Dunkleosteus. I can kill 3 megalondon level 20,95,85 at the same time and lost only 200health

Pretty easy tame with prime meat and chasing with a bary, just keep an eye out for jellies and megalodons

1 giant hatch frame and gate on top

Bow take your dino, lure it from top and you get out from the side without walls. Dunky is slow and clumsy so you have time to return on too to close gate

The dunky does get a lot more anky but there is so little metal underwater unless you're on ragnorock so just use an anky and agentavis to fly it to metal mountain still use for oil it is your oil buddie for life

Useless on mobile version. Don't have any weight reduction in oil, are very slow and very low stamina, jelly fish are still threat, my level 250 ankylo in water does a better job than this level 400 dunky. Better avoid taming this, Same goes for PC (Island) version but PC have weight reduction which might serve you well.

You want to have kibble, bring about 150 arrows, and bring scuba suit

They are slow. Any tamed water mount that isn't a dunkle can out-swim it

Works like an underwater anky, plus as a weaker but still pretty effective argy all in one. Is also a slow, but very hard to kill combat mount with its 50 % damage reduction to the head and another 25% from a primitive saddle (exponentially higher if it's a higher quality) Reccomended tame!

The dunklosaur I thought you could not drag it’s dead body but you at least need capability to have 250kg to drag it

The dunkleosteus is the anko of the sea easily getting alot of metal and oil as well as having really good weight

If you have yourself a tuso before taming one if these, your life will be 100% easier.
