They appear at 20:25 and disappear again at 5:15. When they disappear they will remain in the same spot until the next night, but will be invisible/ banished. Screenshot these times to remember them.

WARNING! Cannot use Daedon to raise dreadmare. Had it next to wyvern and it still starved.

They spawn on centre and scorched earth. You find it in the wild at night and kill it. Once killed they drop an alter, you place the alter at night it will ask for a tribute (those used for boss fights).

If you have the tribute for example thyla claw it will then spawn again to which you kill it and it will ask for another tribute this can range from sarco skin to giga heart and even alpha tributes such as alpha T-Rex tooth.

If you do not have the tribute it will spawn after a 5 minute time but this will cause damage to the alter. You have 3 failures allowed and the 4th will destroy the alter and the dreadmare will be gone.

I just found one flying around the highlands on ragnarok i might try to tame it. Dont have anything other than tranq arrows lmao

So, couple of things good to know.

The horses that spawn during the fight have much less health then their original counterparts.

The creature that spawns alongside it is also the same level as the horse you are taming.

Melee damage does affect the ranged attacks.

Weight affects the crypod weight.

They are also my new favourite tame

Let's start with the dreadmare is breedable.

EASY Tame.

You need the following 10 foundations, wind turbine, cryofridge, 28 walls, 11 ceilings, shotgun, shells, gene scanner.

Use the gene scanner to find the dread. Once u locate the spot build a 3x3 trap around the dread red glowing orb. And 2 out from one center location. Build walls around 2 high. Enclose the dread and place a window wall frame at the opening to the 2 out. Enclose that with a secret door. Wait until 2024 hours. When spawns in shoot it. Collect the alter. Pick trap up. Build same trap at ur base except us double doors instead of walls and leave a hole in the center roof. Place alter under hole. Insert tribute requested and when Dread spawns eat it with a giga or wyvern. Final advice... Only spawns on The center and Scorched Earth. The tributes it asks for is based on the map so u will not get a fire wyvern claw on the center or a giga on SE so having said that SE is the better map to look for and tane the Dread. Happy hunting

So far what I earnt about the creature:

- Find one in the wild, kill it and it drops an altar.(Must be night)

-Place the altar and start summoning.(Must be night)

-To summon you need to have the chosen tributes.

-If you dont have that tribute then wait until the countdown ends and it will still summon the dreadmare AND that creature that should have been tributed.(For me it was alpha deathworm so be careful)

-If you succesfully kill them then you pass but the altar gets damaged because you did not have tribute.(Total hp is 5000 for the altar) When missing 1 tribute it gets 1255 dmg fore at least)

-If in the meantime the sun comes up then it looks like it gets paused until the next night. This is where i'am right now. Gl.

Tips: i did not built a trap for the summoning area but will be helpful. If you want to go straightforward without preparing an area then i recommend fire wyvern. And thylacoleo in case of alpha deathworm.

The creatures it can put in its shadow pocket (cryo) are allowed by drag weight. Level the weight to pocket heavier tames. This is the new pocket giga method.

Ragnarok they spawn at blue ob from what I saw

Don’t know about anyone else but my first encounter was TOUGH. Prim pump and slightly better than prim flak was not enough. Broke my armor instantly. And tried attacking it with an argy my second try but it backs up way to fast and I couldn’t even hit it.

To taming dreadmare first kill it Second place it at night then what ever it says you have to feed it that item or wait the timer it will spawn it but The box of those damage and then you defeat the dreadmare But if you wait timer, you still have to defeat it and put the box down and then you’ll have one

These are my new favorite flyer and even better they’re breed-able

Prepare a lot of tributes! If you alreafy have the altar, place it in the start of the night 20:40 or ealy, cuz in the morning taming stops and continues the next night.If you can find a peacefull spot to place it near your base or bring the tributes with you. DON'T put it in your base, cuz it can summon a giga if you don't have enough hearts!!!! GL guys!

Once you killed it and placed the Altar, it will have cravings (like the Rhynio) in order to respawn again.

Once you attack it it will fly and move kinda fast so be prepared to kill it quickly.

All the process must occur at night.

The Altar will dispawn after a while. Mine was at 90% taming last night and gone this morning.

Only spawns at night and kinda all across the eastern half of the ark

They are definitely on extinction you will find them in the southern part of the wasteland between the Sulfur fields and the desert dome. Also I found two around latitude 49.8 and longitude 89.6

As someone who tamed a dread mare for the first time here’s a tip if you don’t have the tribute for the dread mare don’t worry about the taming effectiveness it won’t drop if you kill the dread mare and the Dino it summoned if failed the taming effectiveness drops

Be prepared to have at least 3 of each apex drop. Ive tamed 2 of them, a 140 stallion and a 145 mare, and both asked for giga hearts and alpha Rex tooth. If you don’t have them then be ready to fight with a high lvl carch or two. Gather your tribe mates, drop the alter as soon as you can when it gets dark, and have your apex drops ready. Good luck!

When it spawns from alter just chomp it with a carch no need for trap
