It now reduces weight towards stone in its inventory as of the April or May update. Cheers!!! :D

Great for stone but doesn't gather obsidian anymore

Cannot farm obsidian at all, only gets rocks from obsidian so don't believe the resource gathering, anky is best for obsid

Great for stone,seems too only get stone on the center, so don't even bother trying to get obsidian. Just use an anklyo for that instead.

I used it on ps4 and it only gathered stone nothing else no obsidian metal or flit

The obsidian gathering on the doedic is broken it will not gather obsidian.

Just use the dilo kibble. The dilo is an easy tame, so you should have plenty.

This is one of the best tames if you need stone. It can't carry much so bring a pack mule but if you need metal or stone they are the way to go.

Great at gathering stone. Also does a really good job of killing pack dinos, such as Dilos or Raptors.

For some reason on the island, there is always one lonely doedic at the edge of the forest(not redwoods) and the snow biome. I feel so bad for it because the only other dinos are sabers, scorpions, argies, raptors, rexes, and allos( all which try to eat it at the same time)

Tame a quezt pick up ur doedicurus bring it to a obsidian deposit (mountain) mine all the obsidian u will be soooo rich in obsidian

If your taming a herbavor use stimberries at first so it drops hunger but does not decreases torpor and then put in the food to do a quick starve tame

In PvE it is best to lead one to a tame boat or pin because they are usually surrounded by dangerous Dino's.

Good for gathering stone but not for metal, it will get stone instead of metal when you hit metal rocks.

I found that the best bet to take one down and tame is to run around in a 8 foot circle continuously shooting it in its feet and or head with a dart gun. Super easy and fast. By the end it'll ball up and you can then focus its under shell by aiming your shots. Narcotics are a must and so is dilo kibble.

Doesn't collect obsidian like it says. Gets a lot of stone from obsidian rocks tho

Be careful on tranq dart/arrow usage, aim for the underbelly for maximum torpor effect. When it rolls up into a ball, attempt to shoot the underbelly again, and again, and again, so on. Found near Redwoods (Island) and great for obtaining rocks, and only rocks. Essential for constructing stone structures.
