There’s a big open area near green obelisk, redwoods and swamp. If you are lucky you’ll find one. Beware though, spinos, rexes, raptors, carnos, barys, and theris are all relatively common around here. I’d recommend a good flyer or bruiser of your own if venturing here. Flak also helps.

When your in the south and your looking for one just start going north and light one up with traqs and I recommend using crops or dilo kibble or for PC reg kibble they level up kinda fast

On PS4 I tried to test it's obsidian gathering since it is "Rank 1", well all it was gathering was stone. So I went to another saying maybe something was wrong, NOPE it does not gather obsidian. Just use an Anklyo for that.

Don't bother putting in the speed when you can roll it

Just grab it with an argy and have your friend shoot it while in your claws.. stops it from rolling up, easy ko.

These guys poop so much after each roll...so after you tame them and roll them they will poop insanely fast, that you can use as fertilizers....Thanks..

As a starter, you may think you won’t need a stone gatherer, such as the Doedicurus, since the Ankylo also mines stone, but, trust me, this fella will make your life a million times easier! Also, they are surprisingly good swimmers!

Love these creatures! I got an ankylo as my first utility animal thinking it would get me a lot of stone, but this is guy is the way to go. I just did a run for stone on my island and got over 1,000 stone just from a few river rocks. And they were small. They aren’t bad at swimming either and I love the feature of the rolling! So cool

Not sure where this goes but if u place a spike wall in front of them and when their health is low enough they have to turn into a ball and be stuck in a constant cycle until the spike wall is removed. It's a great way if you find one and want to tame it later. Unless it gets killed by something else while in a ball it should be fine. I stil have one stuck on one of my walls and ima keep it ther until I can tame it for stones.

Why can’t the doedicurus damage stone if it literally is the number 1 stone gatherer

River rocks 🪨 (shallow water rocks - looks small and bit smooth edged) gives more rocks then any other rocks... I just found this now

People think the doedic is just for gathering stone, but these guys can soak bullets in a raid easily. Great way to get rid of an enemy tribes turrets, and not hard to tame.

To the perso who said “ doesn’t gather element dust!!!!!” It does. You have to use it on extinction on the light poles. Best way 20/10

A must pet as they are really good for gathering stone and they can also get some thatch and wood,and they have balanced and good stats
