Direbears can die from tranq darts, to avoid this use a snow owl and continue tranqing and healing (this can be done with the RMB and won't effect torpor).

If on mobile and see a 450 or 400+ dont use crossbow to knock it it may DIE AAAAAAAAAAAA. AND MAKE SURE TO SAVE THE GAME

They like honey just as much as kibble, just get so,e honey from your local beehive and then you are good to go

If you are on mobile and you're lv 40+ and you don't have this killing machine on easy mode get the metal collar so when 2x boost becomes 3x boost for your beautifull dire bear my dire bear was lv 38 then he kill a lv 15 alpha raptor and a lv 10 alpha Carbo so tame it just get on a high rock cause this thing is really fast and does double dmg

You can feed a Dino body to the bear to regenerate the bears health. This will intern decrease the chance of death of you are using tranq arrows

Breed two 150's and imprint cub to 100% killed 15 alpha worms solo and counting

How to tame: 1. Get some prime/regular meat. (Prime/regular fish meat

Will work too.) 2. Knock it out with longneck/crossbow.

3. You have your direbear

Torpor is not verry fast on my 130 I am tamming

I used an apprentice longneck rifle with darts on a level 130 bear. No problems at all. He still had 1800 health out of 2400 when he fell. Awesome mount :)

If you wanna get mass berries and out run Gina's this is your animal. Also great in battle with aoe strike. Fiber getter for sure

For a dire bear when I tranq them normally they die so I put down lots of narco traps make it run through them , so it's torpor is high then I start to tranq it

You have to wait for a couple of seconds if ur using tranq arrows

These guys are definitely impossible to tame without a trap so I heavily recommend making one

And also you should try to use darts because arrows have an increased chance to kill it but if you are using arrows get a few tamed dodos and when it’s low but still aggressive put one in and it will start regaining health when it eats it

Best way to tame a bear is using darts to knock it out and feed honey. Adds 7.0% taming with out useing balm

Apparently giant bee honey doesn't work taming bears. Tried in abberation and wouldn't take as taming food once ready to tame.

My friend darted a low level because we are starting on aberrations. His longneck broke before he started running so I did the only thing I could think of... I jumped at it with a shield and a club. Let’s just say I was a distraction so he could go get a new rifle, would not recommend

The new kibble doesn't work when taming

Normal tranqs will work if you’re high enough level to withstand its attacks. I shot it until it was too low life to live through another arrow and simply waited for it to run. (I shot it every time it’s life was high enough to be hit again) tames with veggies (I used carrots)

Starve tame it for about 15 minutes and with about 8-14 mutton, it will tame

For knockout most of the time unless your are taming a low level you MUST use darts the arrows will practically 80-90% die so you must use darts. Also when looking for one you should look either at cold places or in redwood forests. Cold areas have some but redwood forests will have so so many with plenty their you can find the perfect level that you want to tame and that you can handle.
