Bela was out in the forest, searching for a nest of giant bees to harvest honey from. The Wyvern egg she had found two weeks ago had hatched a week ago, and she needed something to feed him. Eventually, she found a nest situated on the side of a towering tree. Standing tall on her hind legs, she gave the nest one good smack, sheering off the bottom half of it. Bees swarmed out of both halves, making their pathetic attempts to sting her. Bela picked up the bottom half of the hive in her jaws and made her way back to the den, where Siff was waiting for her.

When she arrived back, she saw Siff curled up atop a rock at the far end of the den. He was almost completely charcoal black, with orange highlights on his tail and wings. As soon as he heard her come in, he sprung up from the rock and ran over to her. Bela broke off a quarter of the hive for herself and dropped the rest for Siff. He immediately dug in to the food, gobbling half of it down in twenty seconds. After that, he slowed down, eating at a much slower pace. After they were finished eating, Siff made an attempt to walk over to Bela, but tripped over his own wing and flopped forward, his head landing on her paw. He then nearly incoherently babbled the word β€œMama.” Bela smiled before taking Siff deep into to den to take a nap.
