Get your mastercraft crossbow and shoot it, wait 10 sec (so it regains health in that waiting time) and then shoot again.. Make sure you wait 10 seconds, I tested a lot of options and this one works perfectly fine.

Currently have a 250 Direbear with 5k health and 400% Damage putting it at nearly 700 dmg per bite/swipe. Ive murdered Alpha Tribe Dragons and Solod All Alphas up to a Level 80 Alpha Rex. I still have 30ish Levels to go before shes maxed ;)

Two dire bears are ideal 1 battle 1 harvest since they came out they are my main weight and battle Dino they're the best

Absolute best animal I have. Own a 242 bear, can kill Carlos 150 and rexs level 150. Gathers berries like a boss, great for prime meat, and has good speed. I would recommend all players get a dire bear. Can kill almost any feature 1v1 up to level 150.

One of the most useful mounts in game. Can easily take out a lower level rex or allo. Great gatherers of fiber, meat, and berries.

To tame build a cage with one stone dinodoor on the front and normal stone doors frames (without the door) on the other sides. Aggro one run by the dinodoor an than go out the cage by the small door frames. Close the dinodoor and you have trap a bear easy. Now shoot from out side the bear with DARTS not arrows. The bear want run out but he can not dont worry

Dire bear is an excellent gatherer of 'Plant X Seeds'

They can’t quite fit in all caves like previously stated. It can fit in the clever cave, the hunter cave, and probably the pack cave. It will not fit in the lava/massive cave and is not practical in the carno/devourer cave due to jumps. But despite this, it is a wonderful tame just beware fighting to alpha raptors and letting a stray micro raptor sneak up on you.

Dire Wolves are their Achilles heel. The wolves bypass their armor. But otherwise they go toe 2 toe with anything their level or lower that isn't an alpha.

Best tame i ever did. My bear has saved my rear plenty of time a fast mount with good hauling capacity can take on carnos with ease i got attacked by yut and would have lost my base but the bear took it down in a couple of hits

Hunny spoils much slower in there inventory. Makes it much easier.

Really need to change the tranq dart for higher levels I put 80 into a 150 before it started to even flee

You can use tranq arrows as long as you don't shoot the in the head. Get it in a trap preferably a doorway trap and surround the bear on either side of it and who ever is facing the backside of the bear shoots it and when it goes to the tribe member you shoot it in the butt and remember don't shoot the head ( mainly back and butt ) also you'll need a tribe mate

Make a taming pen early on in the game with some ramps to lure bigger dinos without having a quetzi. Apply this to a raft, go to the redwood biome and then just find a bear and tranq it.

These things are amazing ive been breeding like crazy and cant stop myself a highlevel bread w/out imprint boost can take on a death worm( i took on three in a row)

My bear has 10k hp! And it goes over 10 KM ph... :)

Place narc writes around it, make if aggro through them to save on health. Also, my bear killed 7 rexes conservatively, only speed because there weren't more
